What is a good area for standard room at AKL?

What section is good to ask for a standard room at AKL? What floor? And has to be non smoking. Thanks

I'd request a high floor on the Giraffe trail. You might be upgraded to pool view there. The ostrich trail is away from the buses.

We had a standard room on the 2nd floor with an awesome pool view and you could see some animals as well, especially the flamingos. We really like it!
