What is a "day" in the rental of Scooters?

I'll be renting a scooter from an offsite place to save money. I am also staying offsite, so I have to be present when they deliver it.

But I'm wondering how "day" works for Scooters. Is it the same as renting a car? I.E. If I get it at 10am on Monday, can I return it at 10am on Sunday and only pay for 6 days? or is it 7 days?

In my experience, they run their day in very much the same way as car hire, ie 10am - 10am. However, it's recommended you ring the hire company and clarify: I think the company I use has an hour or so leeway.
