What is a Booster Pack ?

For pin trading when they talk about a Booster Pack, how exactly is that defined ? Kinda new to the hobby and I'm trying to wrap my arms around this terminology. Thanks !

A booster pack is simply a pack of pins that you can trade, they are also known as starters but the starters normally come with a lanyard.
