What information does members services need to complete a transfer?

I'm in the process of receiving my first transfer of points from another member. Neither of us has done a transfer before. I know it's like an hours-long ordeal right now to reach member services, so I just want to make sure that member has all the information they need from me to complete the transfer without having to do another phone call. I sent my DVC member number, my full name, and my contract number, is there any other information they will need?

Member number is all they really need. MS won’t actually even confirm your name for the other owner but I always just mention it anyway.

I will say that once I called and the CM said it had to be a three way call. I never did it that way so I said I’d call back and talk to someone else who would do it with just me. I did and it was no issue!

And just remember that the other owner should not mention pay. Some CMs will not complete it if they know money is changing hands.

It doesn't matter if the member transferring has a different use year then me, right? I'm on hold on a three way call right now (because member services wanted us both on the line). The member services rep said it wasn't letting him put through the transfer and said something about it being a different use year and he was getting a manager.

No. It just means that you have to be sure they will work for your trip without borrowing.

Points retain all their own rules!
