What if your stay falls between two discount periods?

How does this work?

I am curious because I am planning on staying at a resort Nov 5th-7th. The first night falls into the current room only and package discounts, but the second does not.

So, say I book something now with the current discount, and then they release discounts for Nov 6th on. Can I call and get a discount added to one night? Or would they have to cancel the one night and make a new separate reservation?

It's one discount per reservation. You can't apply two discounts to one reservation. You can have two separate reservations, one reservation for the 5-6 and one reservation for the 6-7. But then you would have to check out and check in again.
