What if your room key was your fast pass?

What do you think about having your room key as a fast pass like Universal does? Then it would really pay to stay on property.

I'd love it, but I think the issue would be that so many people that visit the parks stay on property (unlike Universal). It would make the fastpass lines just as long as the standby lines! Whether anyone wants to admit it or not, Universal still takes Disney's droppings.

Yes, alot of people stay on WDW property but remember they are not all going to the parks at the same time.

Consider 4 parks x # of attractions, 2 water parks x #of attractions, DTD, sporting activities, shopping, dining, people going to other parks people who are visiting family/friends. It is feasible.

I agree that it's feasable, but it would take major modification from Universal's from the way I understand it. They do Fastpass so they know who's coming back when (crowd control). If everyone staying on property could use their room ticket as a fastpass, they'd have no way to control crowd flow. Space Mountain could be a 2 hour fastpass wait. The only way around this is to set fastpass retuen times, like they have now. And you can just use your park ticket for that. Personally, I think that the crowds at Disney (and the percentage of people at a park staying at a Disney property) are just too high at any given time to allow for it.
