If you purchase an Annual Pass after you booked your vacation can you still get an available AP discount?

For example, we're booked for March 2004 at POFQ. If we wait until the 2-6 month mark before the trip to see if codes come out can we then purchase the Annual Passes and call CRO and then apply the AP code to our existing reservation?

If you know how this works, please share..... thank you!! :D

You donot need to have the AP when you book only when you check in. We have purchased our AP's at guest services when we checkin. You only need one person in your party to have an AP .

We did just that in 2001 - that's the year I learned about all the codes and AP discounts.

I made my reservation for our Oct 2001 trip in late 2000-booked at rack rate. In July 2001 the AP rates came out. I did not have an AP yet but called CRO and told them I wanted to apply the AP discount to my reservation. No problems.

Right after that I called (not sure what #) and ordered an AP for myself. I received an AP voucher in the mail about 2 weeks later.

When we checked in at the resort (Poly) I still just had the voucher. The CM never even asked to see my AP voucher or pass but I did show her the voucher and told her I was going to activate it that day.

I went over to the Guest Services window in MK and activated my AP (took about 5 minutes). They take the voucher and give you a pass which, by the way, is made out of paper. My DH & DD's 5-Day Parkhopper tickets were plastic. Who came up with THAT idea?
