What I saw at my Chi Running workshop today...

I just started running in them - they feel really good to run in but I can't do anything over 3 miles in them or I get pains in my feet.

They are good for walking around disney in though :)

I have not tried them yet :) But I seem to recall hearing it takes a bit of time to adjust. Say you are currently doing 6 miles in your regular ol' shoes, you need to build up to in these. So perhaps Kirsty-Leigh will be doing farther someday soon :) Can't wait to hear reports on your training as you go along with this. I used to see a guy at my park in them but haven't noticed him lately, that or he switched back.

MarathonMommy ... a Chi training group? I'm jealous! :) I still have to read the book. It keeps getting pushed down on the stack :sad2:

I plan on picking up a pair when the not-so-local running store actually has then in my size again. I can do barefoot running, but only a couple miles on the treadmill (or more, outside and on grass). I do want to have a pair in the next couple of weeks - I would like to take them with me to run at WDW, though I would not walk around the parks in them. I've been run over by too many strollers - I have thought about breaking down and wearing steel-toed boots into the parks from now on!

One of my race walk students bought some and he said they wore very quickly, so he just uses them for short races and not for training.

By the way another of my students just became the Tenn state mens 55 to 59 champ at the state games.

Just got a pair of the KSO's today. They feel comfy, but I'm gonna try them out to see how they feel when I actually run in them.

My roommate has a pair and she LOVES them. They do look a little silly, and I don't see myself going that route, but more power to those of you who do! I think I need to be a slightly lighter runner first.

Got to try on a pair over the weekend - the store was out of stock, but they had a pair on hold for someone, and the salesman had me try them for size. Obviously did not get to run in them, but they seemed comfortable enough (though they were a size small), and I plan on getting a pair when they are in stock again.
