What I LOVE about this forum!

I Love this forum so much for so many reasons and I'm kinda new, and while I don't post real often, I'm a big lurker so I just wanted to hear why everyone else loves this forum, because I really love it!

So I thought I would be the first to reply to my question as to why I love this forum. First off they let us talk about ANYTHING we want to. I love it that we can discuss things like the Census and how it affects us queers, or Ru Paul and the latest show, nothing gets deleted, it's like there is no moderater here, Is there one? It is such a safe place if you don't count the insane responses which can all be taken as tongue in cheek.

I love you all and as a lurker and not a poster here just enjoy the G&L forum so much. My DP and I can pretty much hang in straight circles because we fit the Butch/Femme profile well enough that most straight people are OK with us, but most of our friends are G&L, but we don't get out a lot.

I feel ya! But as for the butch/femme situation, I find that people seem confused and I hate when they call my DP sir. She had a baby!

I post on another forum and the Disneyland Forum here at the DIS as well. I have to say that over here, we talk about anything and everything, including all things Disney. Although Disney isn't the main focus at times. LOL I love how we can joke, tease and have fun. We rarely get arguments or even disagree. Unlike other forums I visit.

It's a breathe of fresh air when I come over here.

I love this board, because I feel safe here. We have a great group of people. We are respectful, though we joke, there is much respect and love here. I've been fortunate to meet a few of them and their even nicer in person!

We are a group, and like any group very diverse. We have many interests and unlike some other boards/forums we can discuss difficult things without having the discussion disintegrate into name calling, ect.

I like this board because I have a giggle or two, get to have some perspective on a more diverse gay community, and am able to interact with non-gay folk who are too cool for words (lovingly known as CSP).

O'Mike is our long suffering moderator and I must say, it's not an easy task, but he does it with grace and some how manages to keep things on an even keel without getting anyone in an uproar. Not sure how he does that, but he does it well!

We have our famous names here (you HAVE read Rob's wedding thread, yes?) and our quiet ones, (Rosie comes to mind ). Everyone has a part of making this community a whole...

We are going to be the biggest group of cyber Aunties and Uncles to Jenn's baby that ever existed!

Oh and hamburgers? Hamburger Mary's! (We'll get there one of these days, yes we will)!
