Thought I would list a few things that I had wondered about before taking this, our first cruise:
1. Pack more shorts and light t shirts, (also more undergarments ). We changed clothes often during the day.
2. 2 pairs of dress pants (ladies) are enough. Trade off with different tops, dressy sweaters. Even a crepe or chiffon top with black slacks can take you to semi or formal nights.
3. Try sit down breakfast rather than buffet. We didn't discover this luxury until late in the week.
4. Deck 4 is wonderful for lounging/reading. Shady and breeze, but not windy. Not a lot of frantic activity.
5. Don't think you have to do EVERYTHING in the Navigator or that everyone in your party needs to do things together. Families should definitely find time to let each adult do something that interests him/her... not just what children want to do. Take advantage of Kids' clubs at any hour they are open.
6. Don't even try to sit on back row at Buena vista Movies. No knee space at all.
7. Be considerate of others and teach your children about elevator etiquette, etc.
8. Don't be judgemental if someone doesn't "abide by rules of etiquette". It's their vacation too. (Just avoid sitting with them if possible.)
9. Teach your children who to go to if they are lost. Arrange for a family meeting place.
9. Don't fret about anything minor. Something major may just be over the horizon that really needs your fretting more.
