Nope, just plain ol footage from the msm. Like you. Obama has a large ego and very thin skin. He riles easily and cannot deal with criticism of any sort. If you didn't notice - maybe you can find some footage of various things - esp that first debate - to re-watch.

What hurt McCain? How about his staff? Like the moral coward who I would call a moron but it would be an insult to moron's everywhere who is blasting Palin anonymously? Made me think of the West Wing when Rob Lowe was still on it and they introduced Emily Proctor (one of my favorites from that show).

You're dead wrong on this one. BO has consistently been very gracious and classy in his treatment of JM even when JM and his folks were making extremely personal attacks against BO's character and patriotism. YOU are just being sour b/c you lost.

McCain COULD have won this election. His handling of it and his problem with mixed messages and negativity cost him. I don't think that Palin cost McCain the election since she boosted his popularity with one group while costing him popularity with another. BUT JM needed a VP choice that would galvanize BOTH moderate and conservative Repubs. and he didn't select such a person.

This is a bunch of bunk. When people say BO didn't run a negative campaign I say you had your head in the sand. Since he outspent JM 4 to 1 his percentages of negative ads was higher. Please, BO didn't exactly win by a landslide. He esentialy bought his way in imho.

This is kind of funny. I hadn't realized that the extent of negative attack ads by the Obama campaign was in question. His campaign was simply the most negative in the era of electronic media.

I don't blame him though. It's smart. That's how you win.

I haven't read this thread b/c I'm sure I'll get seriously ticked off if I did - but it's not because of Sarah Palin. She was the one that excited me and helped me to be at ease with my vote for McCain and all conservatives, that I’m hearing about, agree. You should hear how many conservatives are currently calling into talk shows and what not pissed that they're attempting to use her as the scapegoat for McCain losing. The conservatives - which is the entire base of the Republican party - wasn't keen on McCain. He's way too liberal for them. Sarah helped McCain to do as well as he did - not hindered him. It would have been a landslide for Obama had Palin not been on McCain's ticket but with her on it turned into a close match.

I will be the first one to say that I would love to see a woman in that position or even President, but someone who is eminently more qualified! She completely turned of people in the middle! I thought the only thing she rallied was hate and negativity!

As a republican, soon to be an independent, Sarah Palin was the reason I did not vote for McCain. In an interview with McCain and Palin, by I think Charlie Gibson, he asked if bombing abortion clinics was domestic terrorism and she would not answer. McCain in turn said "Yes, anytime anyone hurts cilvilains when not engaged at war it is terrorism". This said it all for me. The right-wing members of the republican party have become fixated on one issue abortion. Yes, Palin did apeal to that group but everyone I know had real issues with her stance on abortion (especially the rape and incest stance). I do believe that life begins at conception. Personally I could never have an abortion, but I do not have the right to take that away from anyone else. I admire Palin's choice to have Trig. He is a true blessing from God. I have a cousin with Down's Syndrome and I know what a joy they can be.

The right-wing, ultra-conservatives need to realize that they are losing more votes on this issue than winning. As for the attacks on Palin, I find them appalling. I find it quite amusing that the ultra-liberals do not find the attacks on her sexist. The pictures of Palin and Hillary as porn-stars and comments on their clothes, hair, etc., would never be done to a man. There is even a thread of this making fun of Michelle Obama's dress. The saddest part is that many of these comments are made by women. Do we really want our daughters to see this and follow in our footsteps.

The negative ads came from both sides. I have no idea which party ran more. Frankly, I just tuned them out because I was so sick of the negativity. Just look at the backlash now being thrown at Sarah Palin. The people inside McCain's campaign are using her as their scapegoat. What a bunch of cowards. This says volumns of why McCain lost. The people that were the closest to him were not loyal to him. His campaogn was and still is on chaos.

What I have learned from this election? That it will be liberating when I become an independent. I do not want to be a member of a party that has gone to a strictly pro-life party. Nor do I want to be a member of a party that the left-wing decided who they wanted to be their candidate. They threw Hillary to the wolves. The superdelegate vote is unfair. Not very democratic when they can cast a ballot for whomever they want, regardless of the people's vote.

I truly hope Obama can bring this country together. I am praying that he will reach out to both parties. We need a bipartisan moderate in the office if anything is going to help this economy. I do fear though, that he will swing very left and that will only make this recession last longer.

I found her to be extremely upbeat and overall positive in comparison to Obama and Biden’s 'Woe is me. America is horrible and doomed' campaign.

And I will never understand why you guys keep saying she's not "qualified" when she was running for the #2 spot but then voted in someone just as un-qualified (and even less qualified in some aspects) in the #1 spot instead. You guys, Obama is not qualified and you're fooling yourselves if you think he was any more qualified than Palin. At least Palin wasn’t going for the #1 spot.

And about the Charlie Gibson (and the Katie Couric interview too!) transcripts of what was edited out of those interviews before they were aired was found. And, especially in the Gibson one, Palin was edited out - even mid-sentence at one point - of anything intelligent to make her look stupid and uninformed. I'd take the Gibson interview with a grain of salt. They intentionally made her look bad. Seriously, Palin doesn’t advocate bombing abortion clinics.

I still shake my head at that one Palin rally when her supporters were chanting “USA..USA.” and a group of Obama supporting protestors were there screaming back “No USA… No USA..”

Too funny! Obama flipped Hillary off and then he flipped McCain off. Classy and gracious are not traits that I observed on the part of Obama. Further more "personal attacks" is a phrase that you are using rather loosely. To point out someone's life time associations, the church he sat in for 20 years, his extremely liberal voting record, his comments about bankrupting the coal industry, his goals of redistributing other people's wealth, his plans to nationalize health care, increase taxes, lift the cap on social security, (I can see that one coming), and his "present" votes in the Senate are things that the voting public needed to know about the man who, unfortunately has secured the highest office in the land. Now he is going to have to deal with the liberal left who brought him to the party. I think ultimately they will be his worst enemy. Move On. org will want what they paid for; a more socialized agenda. The far left wing of the Democratic party will be expecting what they want and we will see how "bipartisan" he actually can be.
