:cheer2: ok, here it goes:
Plane tickets - booked, paid.
Hotel - booked, paid.
Shuttle - booked, paying on travel day.
Staying 4 nights.
Will be making 3 dinner reservations when checking in at hotel. Plan - mickey cafe, Buzz pizza and Rainforest cafe. First evening probably will have dinner at hotel restaurant. But the park is open until 22.00 on Sundays. Should a try for a meal in park? And do all of those 3 restaurants take reservations?

Breakfast at 7.30, if possible will ask for breakfast in the park at check in. Is it worth to change one breakfast to breakfast with characters (pay extra).

Get use of EMH and fastpass on popular rides every morning (due to restrictions my son won't be able to ride some popular rides: checked and have a list).

Flight back home 14.00 CDG. I think we can have some fun hours in DLP still that morning. There's TGV (TVG?) leaving at 12.27, 10min and we're at CDG. Enough time to board the plane?

Soooo... what else? What have I forgotten? :confused3
Tips are so very welcome :flower3:

Ooh how exciting! Congrats on getting everything booked.

You can make reservations at Cafe Mickey and Rainforest cafe, not sure about Buzz. What time are you arriving? We've gone in quite late for an hour on first day just to burn off some excitement.

We've never done character breakfast but there are lots of characters around park - though its a bit of a scrum sometimes as most don't have a line. Cafe Mickey was good - we saw Gepetto, Pinnochio, Chip and Dale, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto. We went at 12.00 and when the first 4 came out there were only 3 families in so we all got lots of time with them.
There are regular character meets outside the hotels.

Which hotel are you staying in?

Have a great time!

What terminal does your plane leave CDG from going home?

I dont know what time Pizza Planet is open until / serves until while you are there but some park restaurants only open for lunch/close early.

how old is your DS?

We booked Newport bay, but I'm trying to upgrade to New York, not sure if it's works.
I love how NBC looks from outside - my style of the hotel. But it's huge (I didn't know how big it was while booking). But it gets so many negative comments... New York seems.. well.. not so lovely and nice, but comments are much better and people seem to like it more.. So right now I'm in between.

At NBC we booked Admirals floor lake view - it should have a nice view.

At NBC - have no idea, if upgrade works - standard room, lake view would be 70 Eur extra. Should I try?

we fly from terminal 1.

Mickey cafe should be open for dinner, at least it says so.. I plan having dinner around 18.00. Am I nuts?

Have no idea about Buzz pizza - but it's either dinner or lunch.. It's a must for my little Toy story fan. He's already learning how to say Hello to Buzz :goodvibes (English is not our language). Oh, and he is 5.

i dont think that tvg will leave you enough time to check in and make it through security. i remember one trip the line to get through security was so long we were almost in tears thinking we wouldnt make it through on time. you need to be at the airport two hours before your flight

you cant make a reservation for rainforest cafe

on your last day you will get at least emh out of that day.

6pm dinner at Cafe Mickey is just about perfect timing :goodvibes.
Unless things have changed, you can't reserve a table at Rainforest Cafe. I think you should check with City Hall when you arrive to see what the opening times are for Pizza Planet, its low season when you go so it may not be open every day.

I wouldn't leave it until 12.27 to get a TGV for a 2pm flight. You will really be rushing and cutting it fine, especially if you have hold luggage to check in. I'd go for an earlier TGV ie if theres a TGV at 11.30 you could still be in the park from 8am to around 11am - take your luggage in the morning when you check out and leave your hotel and put it in the luggage lockers in the train station.

If you're doing a character dinner at Cafe Mickey, in my opinion theres little point in doing breakfast there too, its often a lot of the same characters.

if your flight is from terminal 1 you would need to get a bus transfer from the tvg station as it is in terminal 2. really a tvg at that time is out of the question you would not make your flight.

ok, so breakfast no point doing. As first time traveler you never know - you just want all the magic.

So any ideas about the hotels? Help me please, for I am so confused... Is 70 Eur worth the extra lake view? Or all views at NYH are good?

As I learn how big NBC is, I must admit got scared... And when read about breakfast and stuff like that... but again... I seem to be drawn to it for no reason at all

I just want it to be as wonderful as it can and do the best.

there's 10.48 TGV and then only 12.20..

so.. shuttle again? Or TGV?

I agree, its going to take you at least 20 minutes to get from Terminal 2 (TGV station) to Terminal 1 (you get the CDval free shuttle bus). Especially with little ones aswel. You can rebook and get a refund from the TGV if you contact them online and then post your return journey tickets only back to the address they give you - i think its in Belgium.

6pm is a good time for Cafe Mickey. Its so much fun and adults and kids love it!

I haven't booked TGV yet. I thought do this while being in DLP. PLus I still got time for these things, but.. I'm an organized person... so need all the things be done.. :rolleyes1

if you get a shuttle back from your hotel to make your 2pm flight, you'd need to leave around 11.15 - the shuttle would give you a little extra time in the park on your last day.

Although I personally would prefer the Hotel New York over the Newport Bay, I wouldn't pay 70euros extra for a view - it will be dark outside when you're in the room mostly anyway I'd have thought :goodvibes. You can always contact the hotel a week or so before you go and ask for a nice room because its your first visit and you want it to be as special as possible.

I would go for the shuttle aswel.
I would ask for a room near the reception when you ring also! We were lucky when we went to the NPB on our last trip that our room was near reception as it can be quite a walk from some of the further away rooms.

And they do those things? It would be sooooo lovely......
Oh, and if I did it with the help or travel agency, can I call them or it must be done over the agency again?
In you opinion, shuttle is better option. I better book ezzyshuttle then...

If the upgrade doesn't work it's NBC admiral's floor lake view then.

If yes - NYH. The price difference is 79UER, NHY is cheaper. Where can I spend these?

if you leave it until about a week before you are due to arrive, you can call the hotel yourself to ask for a nice room. By then the hotel will have your named reservation details from your travel agent, so it will be easy for the hotel staff to add your request to your booking :).

Do you mean you need to add 79 euros to your booking to change to the Hotel New York? If you're planning on eating at Cafe Mickey, then I'd just prepay that meal and add it to your booking - that will come to more than 79 euros for the 4 of you, but not a lot more.

thank you :grouphug: I feel happier now, more relaxed and not so confused. Just have to wait for an answer from DLP. It should be yes, right? :goodvibes

I would not get too hung up on the change - although the HNY is our favourite we really enjoyed the NBC we too had admirals floor and lake view and it was gorgeous! Like other posters say - ring the hotel about 4 days before hand and ask for a room near reception or lifts - we did not find the trek to the room long at all. We got an awful fright last year when we cut it fine getting to the airport for our flight home - we were literally running to get to check in - there was a horrendous q for security check and I really started panicking thinking we would be left behind (Iwas travelling alone with my youngest dd) - our travel agent recommended leaving 3 hours before check-in!

Sounds like you are all organised and have not forgotten anything!

thanks for sharing, I hate rush. In fact I hate to be late. I'd rather come an hour early then be late 5mins.

I'm sure we're going to have great and wonderful time.

Oh, and a question. If I call my hotel to ask for a nicer room, can I ask for little extras for my boy? Would they charge in advance? I'm thinking a Buzz lightyear on his bed when he arrives. Is that.. silly?
