Wow! What a tough poll! I voted Happiest Celebration on Earth, because that is the year that DH and I got married and went on our Disneymoon. I still go around telling people that Disney had a special celebration just for our wedding and Disneymoon!

I also really enjoyed the Millennium Celebration and the 100 years celebration. That was a tough decision! :sunny:

For the record I forgot to mention that I voted for the 2000 Millennium Celebration. My reasons are that after it became the year 2000, my family & I were on vacation in Clearwater Beach & surprised me by cutting it short to spend the rest of our time at WDW. So that is something I will never forgret.

I am just wondering what your favorite celebration has been at WDW?

To be honest with you I like the 25th year celebration.

I voted "other" cause my favorite (and only celebration ive been to "the world") is the 25th aniviersary. Second time with Mickey, I was 12, and I still remeber Remember the Magic Parade and the infamous Pink Cake Castle (wich i personally loved, but prefer plain and gorgeous Cindy´s).

My favorite was The Millenium Celebration. My favorite Park is Epcot & there was so much added to it for the Millenium. We got Illuminations:Reflections of Earth, Tapestry of Nations, which gave me Goosebumps, Millenium Village, which I could have spent all day in.... It was an incredible Celebration & I thought a very valid reason to celebrate. I felt lucky that I was able to experience several trips during it.

While I think the concept of this years festivities is nice, making dreams come true.....what is the reason for the celebration? It seems it's just a yearly WDW marketing ploy lately, vs. a real celebration. :confused3

I can't vote. I know I'm in the minority here, but I don't care for the celebrations. Does nothing for me one way or the other.

I voted for the 100 year celbration because that is the celebration that was happening when we went to WDW for the first time. It was also the year that the share a dream come true parade (with the snowglobes) begun. To this day, this has been my very favorite (and first) parade in all of the parks.

I loved the Millenium Celebration because of Tapestry of Nations.

I voted for the 2000 one it was the best so far. The castle looked wierd for the 25th. Then again I liked the snowglobes parade can't remember it being part of a celebration.

Wow - I agree this was a tough decision!! The Millenium celebration was my first trip to WDW and I loved Tapestry of Nations at Epcot - I should have picked that celebration! I loved all the Mickey statues for the 75th Mickey and the 100th year was great too! But - I voted for the Happiest Celebration because that was my first time to stay at WL and I loved it and I thought the castle was gorgeous decked out in the gold! Thanks for posting this question!

I voted for the millenuim celebration. We're DVC members, and had an opportunity to 'preview' the celebration the first weekend in October 1999. I surprised DH with a trip to experience all of the millenuim stuff early (millenium village, the firewroks, the parade, etc).

It was a great trip.

We were fortunate enough to schedule our very first trip to DL during the Happiest Celebration on Earth festivities. The daily rededication ceremony they did was really nice and the fireworks were the best I've ever seen. We also enjoyed all the new attractions opening at WDW in conjunction with the celebration, too.

I feel the same way. A "celebration" might have more appeal, and mean something if there weren't so many of them, and didn't last for month after month. Seems like there ALWAYS a celebration - one right after another, so that they are really meaningless.

I enjoy WDW tho ... in spite of the endless celebrations.

Enjoy.

I had a tough time with this. I loved the Happiest Celebration on Earth; however, I wasn't overly enamored with WDW's celebration - I was much more satisfied with DL's "Happiest Homecoming on Earth." The decorations felt more special, more attractions, overall I "felt" it more there (which is a bit of a "duh" moment, since it was celebrating DL, but whatever).

So, to take the question literally, my favorite WDW celebration is definitely the millenium. I especially loved the Millenium Pavilion at Epcot. I do abhor the wand, though. And the song, "Celebrate the Future Hand in Hand," quite magical.

I loved 100 YoM too. I'm so glad they kept One Man's Dream. Oh, and I liked the cake for the 25th, much to the horror of many of you, I'm sure. I was in high school and thought it was really neat. I think it just felt cool being there during something that was so important, since I had only been to WDW (at the time) 3 times in my 16 years. Since then I've been there over 20 times...maybe it all comes back to that fateful trip during the 25th :thumbsup2

I voted for 2000, though, for the record.

To be honest, elements from all the various celebrations kind of blur together for me. I guess my favorite celebration is whenever I'm in WDW!

I voted for 100 Years of Magic, because this was the celebration that was just starting at the time of our first trip (November, 2001).

I wish you had a button for ALL. :teeth:
There has been something unique about each of them to make them stand out.
