What happens to WS opening times when Frozen opens?

Why is World Showcase open later, in the first place? I guess because the foreign workers need more time to sleep and set up?

They could technically take people across the lake on the boats, and make sure they don't go to other areas of World Showcase before 11am, but that seems like a lot of extra work they may not want to do. I guess we shall see!

When Epcot first opened (and for years after) all of the park opened at 9AM.

Then, the actual guest traffic gravitated to "Future World at opening, World Showcase later in the day."

So, they decided to take advantage of that natural flow and open accordingly.

BTW, Epcot was originally designed and constructed in a manner to be two separate parks.
They treat the two "halves" in somewhat that way, even now.

With the breakfast available at both Norway and France now, I could imagine they would open the ride at 9 but still keep the shops and the rest of WS closed. You would be able to walk through the area like you can Canada and UK now, just nothing open.

Well, the crowds it will bring will easily cover the salaries of those needed to work.
The crowds Disney have been receiving for decades have covered all expenses and generated huge profits and still they cut. They're going to get the rush to this ride in any case, I don't see the suits paying a penny more for it.

Can anyone one say "Early Frozen Mornings".:)

(Not sure what the price will be in Arendelle currency.:))

Ah that's a good point. Since it opens at 11 anyway, perhaps the hours of 9-11 am could become an upcharge event. Maybe the MK stuff is just a test run for it.

I've often wished WS opened at 9 even a few days a week. It gets so hot walking around on that concrete by the time 11 am rolls around in the summer.

The suits don't have to pay for it - the guests of the EMM will!

This is exactly what I was thinking might happen those first 2 hours! I have a feeling the EMM at MK area test to see how much people will be willing to pay.

Maybe they'll have a new Frozen QS at Norway...you and your guests finish each others sandwiches:earboy2:

Best guess is this. Because Norway is already open at 9. You can get in before that if you have an early breakfast reservation.

France and Norway open at 9. Everything else opens at 11.

Mexico is easy...they'll do what they do with it now. Pyramid is closed, restaurants are closed. All you can do is walk by on your way to Norway. I can't think of anything that sells alcohol that opens before 11 anyway, nice as a breakfast margarita would be.

Depending on the crowds, I can see Mexico getting swept up into the Frozen takeover. The ride is cute, kid-friendly, doesn't have a height requirement. I could see it getting FP+ stuck on it, maybe Tier 2. I don't know how margaritas fit into this idea though LOL

Why does WS open at 11am? Is there a reason for this?

After Froway opens, I predict that $69 will get you the an hour of "alone time" in Mexico and Norway, along with:

and

I am having a hard time believing that the Magical Waffle Hour at the MK is anything other than a test run in advance of introducing this into World Showcase. The timing is just way too convenient.

add margaritas to that and I will pay them the $69 and won't even bother with the ride.

Thank You Robo :thumbsup2
