What happens to the "Barney" kids?

My DD and I were talking about this the other day also :)

She is 8 but still (secretly) loves Barney. Although she learned the hard way not to tell anyone when she talked about it at school and her friends laughed. :(

Barney taught her so much, she can love him as long as she wishes. :)

I wonder did this thread come about before or after the news of Mr Rogers passing become public?

I know when i heard about the passing my trip down memory lane started. and both Mr. Rogers and that purple thing ran on public tv. I personally grew up with Sesme street and Mr Rogers. My dog firecracker grew up with Barney.

Fire14-Before the news of Mr. Rogers.

I was watching Barney yesterday with my 4 yo!

My DD3 loves the classic Barney tapes, but not the new shows on PBS. As a matter of fact, Michael and Amy lived with us from when she was 2 until 2 1/2. They were invisable, of course, but they went everywhere with us...They had to have a seat of their own in the car and at McDonalds, they each took a turn on the swings everytime we went to the park and I even had to say good night to them each night at bedtime for 6 months. It got really old really quick, so those "classic" Barney tapes have sorta disappeared from our house! Kids!

No problem Pembo I have been semi forced to watch Ole dino a few times myself. I have 2 nieces,a nephew, and a DOG who have watched him at times. The hot show in our house was Teletubbies I think my older Niece Katie thought Laa and PO lived with Us.

Hopefully, they won't suffer the same fate of the Different Strokes kids.

Their grown-ups?? LOL funny how I always think of these kids still being little kids.

OMG.......DH and I used to comment about what happened to the kids!

It's so funny that I caught this thread today. Just this afternoon I was wondering where they all went. I have been out of Barney for about 3 years now, and suddenly my 18 month old DS found a tape. We now hear BA-BA screamed for every hour. Fortunately my neighbor gave us a load of them so I don't have to listen to the same one. My 4 & 6 year old DS say they don't like him anymore, but everytime he comes on they stop everything and become mesmerized. You just kinda get hooked on it, ya know?

Actually, I dont' know. Barney came out when I was in high school; I still hate that purple dinosaur with a passion!

My favourite scene out of Hugh Grant's movie "Nine Months" is he and his "friend" beat up an "Arnie" dinosaur in a baby store LOL!

Ok, I checked with my friend and "Michael from Barney" definitely works at the local high school here. He does computer stuff. He is somewhat embarrassed whenever anyone mentions that he was on Barney.

Yay! We've found a few of the kids! Michael was always such an overactor! Honestly, all those kids bugged me but you just wonder what happened to them.

Anyone else love "The Winkster" ????
