What happens to dining reservations if resort change?

I'm making wdw resort ressies which i may cancel a few months out if skyauction property opens up. what happens to any dining reservations that i've made--will they disappear if i'm no longer staying on site? will i have to rebook the ADRs? anyone with direct experience doing this?

Nothing will happen to your ADR's if you cancel your resort ressie. Anyone can make ADR's, whether they're staying onsite, offsite, or live close enough to drive.

They will be ok. We changed our resort last fall after the adrs were made. I double checked and the adrs were still there

i'm sure i didn't explain all i was thinking/worried about very well. i was talking about those that i'll make for later in the stay, you know, how you can make them 180 days out, but wdw guests can make them even earlier, as long as it's 180 days out from the date they check in, so some of mine will really be made 190 days out... it's so confusing. i'm guessing they don't really track all that, right???

If you are worried about that then just wait until 180 day out from the end of your stay to canel the ressie.

changed my resort plenty of times...never had a problem with ADR's!
