What Happens Now?? Grand Gathering ?

Hello!

We were suppose to be a grand gathering going to WDW with a party of 8. We purchased the Illuminations Dinner and Dessert Package for our upcoming May trip this past December. Now one of my aunts has backed out of our trip because she can not come due to her mom being very ill. We are now 7 people instead of 8. Will we still be able to go to the Illuminatino Dinner now? Everything is already paid for. Has this ever happened to anybody else? any help would be appreciated thanks in advance

I'm not 100% sure on this one, but here is what I was told. I called to make the Illumination GG last week for our upcoming trip this August. There was no space left the 1 night we were able to go. The CM told me to keep calling back because people book, and then 1 person in their party can't make it and they have to forfeit their entire reservation!

I'm not really sure how much time you have from the time your aunt cancels her reservation.

Grand gathering experiences are strictly for parties of 8 or more. Unfortunately, you will most likely have to give up your reservation, but it should be refunded. Call Disney GG and ask, hopefully you will get a good CM with all the right answers/suggestions.

oh no! So there is no way around it because there was 8 of us and now there are 7. Everything is paid in full already.
