What happens in 2042?

Almost, and almost agree with RIV being Epcot resort, but you’re dependent on the Skyliner for it to be that. Walk out of International Gateway on NYE and you suddenly have the stark reality RIV isn’t really an Epcot resort. Anymore than a monorail resort is
If that is the case then Poly is not a MK resort in my eyes as it is monorail dependent to our family. We will not be walking 1.4 miles to get back to Poly after walking all day.

Yeup. Even VGF is still quite a trek to MK. It's nice knowing that there is a walking path available but will we regularly use it? After a long day in the park? Absolutely not.

Yeah I think for my family that would be a post-fireworks emergency exit path only. Certainly never in the morning heading there.

We stayed at Universal at Portofino Bay last month and at check in they were like “you can walk to the parks it’s only 4/5th of a mile” and I looked at my kids and I thought “so…we can’t walk there”.

I love your idea but it would not work at least for the way DVC does business right now.

You could certainly purchase the 2 75 pointers and qualify for blue card as long as 150 is still the minimum at that time.

However for the fire sale to get the best deal you would have to purchase what qualifies for incentives. Incentives are different per resort. I don’t think I have seen incentives on a 75 point contract. Sometimes they don’t even offer them on 100 point contracts. The sweet spot seems to be in 200-300 point range.

So you possibly do 3 75 pointers for 225 points but it would have to be at one resort.

Yea, it’s a dream scenario. Buying 150 points direct is out of my price range either way. :)

Yes that is why IMO SSR is the best resale resort for SAP as you would still have access to SSR, OKW, AKL, BLT, AUL, VGF, PVB and CCV even after 2042.

You can really get great value using the SSR points at AKL which has a better point chart when looking at standard rooms and you can 7 month there for the life of the SSR contract.
Agreed SSR is good value. I chose BLT for SAP because I only want one contract and I prefer to own a premium location plus it has 6 more years than SSR.

Disney learned and put hotels incorporated into Disneylands and they have worked wonderfully.

VGC is as close as one gets to attached for the USA side of the parks.

Our family is so spoiled now for trips. If overnight isn't VGC, we're doing solely day trips.

Contrary view... We love the walking path other than the smokers at first or at the end... It is such a peaceful way to unplug after being in the MK... We rarely take the monorail or the boats unless the weather is too hot...

That's what I figured, but I thought there was perhaps a way to just handover the resale points to DVC for a few shiny direct points 😂 😂 .
Not yet, but that is inevitable in my view... Every other system does it. Disney has yet to, but eventually some accountant will figure out there is money to be made there.

Again grateful for you guys freeing up the already strained transportation system 😂. I'm not a fan of the boats midday with the smell of the gas and engine in the heat but early morning or late at night with fireworks they're quite nice. Otherwise we monorail for everything else :p. The only time I think we would realistically walk back is after July 4th fireworks or NYE both of which I will probably try to avoid during the lifetime of my DVC contracts.

It does seem crazy not to, also totally different situation, but to purchase leftover points each year, if someone has 4 points left, it’s not enough to rent and let’s say if they were banked already they’re just going to waste, Disney could give $10/pp or something and use them to rent a room.
