I took my 3yo DD last October and she had a meltdown in the dressing room. We had an early morning appt. (before MK opened). We checked in, and proceeded to the dressing room (we brought her favorite Cinderella dress with her). She just stood there, crying, not wanting to get dressed. I even called in DH and DS to help calm her down and explain how much fun she would be having...nope...wanted nothing to do with it.
So, the nice cast member re-booked us for a few hours later to see if she would calm down and be more receptive to it. We had a lunch scheduled at CRT and she put us down for 45 minutes before.
We tried to get her back in there, but we didn't get past the check in. She really wanted nothing to do with it, and it surprised us because she really isn't normally a shy or timid child.
As I was leaving, I asked the CM about the charge, and she told me it wouldn't be charged to my CC and she had already made notes on it. She actually said it happens quite frequently and it really wasn't a problem. Obviously she could tell my DD really didn't want to be there. So, I ended up buying a few special Disney hair wraps and such and just putting her hair up and spraying it myself for the rest of the trip (I used the glitter hairspray I found at Claire's). This she was fine with...so I don't know what about the experience itself scared her.
Oh, and for our upcoming trip in May, I asked her if she wanted to try BBB again...NO WAY!!! I thought she'd be more receptive, closer to age 4, but the idea completely un-nerves her. So, I'll just do her hair, little make-up, and nails myself again and it will be great
