What happens if your kid freaks out at BBB?

The first time I took my dd she was 2 weeks from 3 yrs old and she had never had anyone but me really mess with her hair or face.. it scared her and she wet her costume (got her jasmine from online) well they finished so I paid for it but they felt so bad that they let her go into the big store and pick ANY costume she wanted with shoes and wand! They did not charge us for any of it..it was very nice of them.We figured out later that she had a thing about certain fabrics and stuff and the jasmine was to much for her.She picked out the pochohantes (sp?) and the slippers...turns out there is not alot of ichy on that one .I think they will work with you as long as they have not done to much of the services..

I am looking to book this for my girls as well when we finally get out there. My older dd constantly struggles with tangles and hates her hair brushed (takes after her mom...oops!) but doesn't mind when getting her hair done. Does BBB have detangler spray onsite or should I just plan on bringing some in addition to bringing brushes?

They will not brush out tangles. The hair has to be clean and tangle free when you come. They do not want it to be a negative experience by brushing out tangles. I wash and brush it that morning and then put it up in a pony till we get there, then I brush it again just to be sure it is tangle free. (Then again, my girls have long thick hair so I may over do.)

As for tipping, we gave our FGMiT $10 for the basic package. Both in 2006 and 2008 it was accepted.

I took my 3yo DD last October and she had a meltdown in the dressing room. We had an early morning appt. (before MK opened). We checked in, and proceeded to the dressing room (we brought her favorite Cinderella dress with her). She just stood there, crying, not wanting to get dressed. I even called in DH and DS to help calm her down and explain how much fun she would be having...nope...wanted nothing to do with it.

So, the nice cast member re-booked us for a few hours later to see if she would calm down and be more receptive to it. We had a lunch scheduled at CRT and she put us down for 45 minutes before.

We tried to get her back in there, but we didn't get past the check in. She really wanted nothing to do with it, and it surprised us because she really isn't normally a shy or timid child.

As I was leaving, I asked the CM about the charge, and she told me it wouldn't be charged to my CC and she had already made notes on it. She actually said it happens quite frequently and it really wasn't a problem. Obviously she could tell my DD really didn't want to be there. So, I ended up buying a few special Disney hair wraps and such and just putting her hair up and spraying it myself for the rest of the trip (I used the glitter hairspray I found at Claire's). This she was fine with...so I don't know what about the experience itself scared her.

Oh, and for our upcoming trip in May, I asked her if she wanted to try BBB again...NO WAY!!! I thought she'd be more receptive, closer to age 4, but the idea completely un-nerves her. So, I'll just do her hair, little make-up, and nails myself again and it will be great :goodvibes
