First time cruiser here (April). I'm just curious, and believe me, I am a HUGE list maker and organizer, so this won't happen to me. But, what does happen if you get to the port and realize you left your docs at home (back in New England no less)? I mean, aren't you on the official computer list of guests and just show your photo id? What is it about the "docs" that makes it so incredibly important?

If you leave your docs at home, you would have to fill them out again at the terminal. Blank copies of all the docs are available at the terminal.

The bare minimum that you need to bring are photo id AND passport or birth certificate.

Leaving your docs at home is not a total disaster. You'll just spend more time at the terminal instead of relaxing in the ship.

ok, thanks for that clarification.

This happens to me a lot - in the recurring nightmare I have that starts about a month before departure:hyper: :hyper:. It isn't all I forget either (clothes, shoes, bathing suits, passports etc). Thankfully I always wake up before I get to the port but never seem to be able to get back to sleep.

You know Glenda, I think you are the one that started me on this dream thing reading one of your posts a while back. Unfortunately, I was at the port with no DL, no passport, no birth certificate and trying to talk my way onto the ship. I awakened before I found out whether or not I made it!
