What happens if waitlist uses fewer points? Holding if less than 30 days?

I have a lake view studio at BLT and a waitlist for a standard view. If by some miracle it comes through and under 30 days out, do the extra points go into holding?

I currently have it set to keep checking up to 7 days out but can easily change it to 30 days

I stayed in a poly studio a few years ago. So far my only foray away from OKW. Since it was not my home resort, I specifically booked a lake view studio. I know it take more points, but it is awesome to relax on our balcony and see the Electrical Water Pageant, and the distant fireworks at MK. You will not be disappointed, even if your waitlist doesn't come through.
