What happens if docs don't arrive before cruise?

After reading some of the recent threads with cruisers who are not getting their documents until 2 weeks prior to the cruise, it has me wondering . . .

Next year I'm going on a West Coast cruise that I have booked with Dreams Unlimited. But I am also going to Disneyland for 8 days prior vacation booked through AAA.

So if for some reason my docs were running reallllly late and I left for Disneyland before I got the docs, what could i do? Do they still let you on board?

Would I contact Dreams to have the docs sent to me at Disneyland?

Just wondering how that all works, thanks!

I believe that with proper identification at Port, you will be ok. They'll have your docs waiting for you at Port. This almost happened to us last year. Luckily they FedExd them and we received them 2 days prior to our WDW-portion of our trip.

They have blank documents at port that you can sign. You would just need to have the proper ID and a ressie #. As long as you are booked, your name will be on the passenger manifest, regardless of whether your docs made it in time.

Also, the porters have a passenger manifest, with room assignments, so they will be able to tag your bags right at the port, along with your stateroom number.

We were worried about this (are leaving the day after Thanksgiving for a week+ at WDW then the cruise). When we mentioned it to our TA they just made a request to have the docs waiting at the dock (sorry, couldn't resist) rather than try to send them to us. One of our party is going to the Space Center the week before and is going to pick them up but even if that weren't the case, it would be no problem to just fill them out at the terminal.
