we are going for 3 nights starting 11th March. will there be fireworks etc at night or does the park close & so food only?

The park closes at 8pm. To eat after this time and for further entertainment you have Disney Village and the hotels :goodvibes

It has never been an issue for us as we put the troops around about their normal bed-time :)

:confused3 Thats the date we arrive too but I didn't think the park would be open as late as 8 :confused3

I looked on dlrpmagic.com (are they usually accurate) and they said:
Sun 11th - 9AM to 9PM
Mon 12th - 10AM to 6PM
Tue 13th - 10AM to 6PM
Wed 14th - 10AM to 6PM
and on each day the Studio Park hours are 10 to 6

They are the correct hours Raci, in previous years the Magic Kingdom park has always been open until 8.00pm, with only WDS closing at 6.00pm it was only last year that they introduced the 6.00pm closures, now that seems to be routine for the weekdays, offseason, with only the weekends staying open later.
It's something I've taken into consideration when trying to arrange a short weekend trip for us, bearing in my mind my kids are that bit older, I don't really want to be there on a Saturday but it seems to be the best option for us, just for the extra couple of hours in the park.
The Nex Arcade or Buffalo Bill's dinner show is the only real entertainment after park closure or the restaurants, unless of course there are any English films on at the Cinema, but I'm damned if I can find that info. out anywhere.:confused3

The ice rink at the Hotel New York will still be open while you're there - fun to do, or just to watch.

;) A couple of Q's:
Will the ice rink be open in the evening?
Do you have to pay for skate hire?
Is it well lit if its open after dark?
I know my daughter loves going ice skating and would love to skate outdoors but I can't see her coming out of the Disney park to do something she can do at home (even though our nearest rink is indoors) :lmao:

1 other Q about evenings - How late does the panoramagique balloon go up until (weather allowing)?

:thumbsup2 Thanks for confirming the park times Jill!

The rink is definitely open in the evening - and well lit after dark. Good idea to check the times as I think it may be closed between 6.30 and 7.30 pm, or something like that. You do have to pay for skate hire - Cost is 12 EUR per adult and 9 EUR per child (under 12) including the skate rental.

It's a lovely idea - I however never mastered roller skating and never even attempted ice-skating.
Eldest DS has however, but he obviously takes after his mum, because when I asked if he'd fallen over, he answered "Yeah, like everytime I got up":rotfl2:

Perhaps we could watch, might be safer :)

Raci, I can't find any opening times for Panoramagique, it's not on the website, nor the leaflet I brought home :confused3

:) No probs. Thanks for looking, if I can't find them before I'll just check to or from the hotel 1 day.

If skate hire is charged seperately, does that mean that it is ok to take your own? And if so, does anyone know if hockey skates are allowed?
(I know Im odd, willing to take my skates with me, but having worn my own for so long, I feel incredibly precarious on rink skates).
