What happens after the park closes??

Ok.. Say a particular park closes at 11PM... Does that just mean the rides, shops, etc.. close and we have to leave promptly. Or, after the closing time, can people still roam the parks and take pictures? Very curious!

Almost missed the last boat leaving MK one time by lingering too long on Main St. Be sure you confirm with a driver/captain when the last conveyance leaves for your resort.

The stores usually stay open for about another hour after the park closes. The lines for rides close when the park closes, if you're in line for something & you realize the park has closed, they'll let you ride.
I believe the express monorail runs for an hour after mk closes & resort runs for 2 hours, unless epcot is still open, but I'm not sure if they still stop at mk then.
They don't want you running all over the park taking pictures for a long time after the park has closed, but they won't kick you out right when the park closes either

Once we were at EPCOT as the park closed. My husband had a couple of the kids walking back from IllumiNations while I was over on Test Track with another one of our kids. They closed down the area around Test Track and my husband wasn't allowed to come over to meet up with us. So you might want to stick with the rest of your party around closing too.

We had an ADR at Yak & Yeti about 20 min before park closing. When we left the restaurant, a security guard was there to point us down the path he wanted us to walk on. We were free to walk on our own, but we didn't linger too long. There was a bus out front & they just asked each family where they needed to go.

1. You will not be allowed to enter the queue for any attraction. As long as you are already in the queue you should be able to ride.

2. You will not be allowed to enter any restaurant unless you have a reservation for a time after closing. As long as you have a reservation and have entered (a) you will be seated and (b) they will not push you on tiome.

3. All quick service food locations, kiosks, and carts, will close (unless you are already in line).

4. You will be able to go into some store, but usually in the direction oif the exit.

5. At a certain time there will be teams of CMs checking the park for strays. You will not be allowed to go any deeper in the park, but again they will not force you to the exit.

6. Transportation will continue running until the last Guest has left. Sometimes there may be one or two "unassigned" buses waiting to return people to their Disney Resort or a tram (or van) to get late-departing Guests to their cars.
