What Happened to Richard Hammond?! UPDATED

I saw this morning on GMTV something about RH, but I didn't get to see what is up... I know they zoomed into his picture; thought that's not good..

What happened? I sure hope he's OK!

He had a serious accident while filming top gear, there is a link in another thread. really hope he will be okay.

It's weird isn't it how we were just discussing his role on Brainiacs the other day and this happens I'm praying he pulls through and can only imagine how shocked his family must be by this accident.Let's hope they get to the bottom of what caused the crash in the first place

Unfortunately what happened is just down to the danger of the stunt they were doing, I can't see the BBC really being at fault, at the end of the day you have people (presenters) doing dangerous stuff, it was almost bound to happen eventually, I'm sure Richard, Jeremy and James would never have been happy doing their job solely from a studio so the risk they take is their own. I just hope he pulls through as I think he's a lovely guy.

My DH said "Pity it wasn't Clarkson" - obviously my DH's natural warmth and sympathy flows forth at such times (NOT).

From the little I know of the guy (Hammond not DH!) I don't think he would have thought twice about taking up the challenge

Hey guys, I did eventually found out later this morning about the RH incident; thank god he is still alive!!

Would like to have this thread closed now since there is a WHOLE other topic on this now..
