What happened on According to Jim last night?

Our recorder cut off the last few minutes. We saw where they gave their daughter a cupcake to give to her friend and then the recording stopped. Where did she get the game? While I'm on the subject, I thought the way they were handling it was stupid. Am I way behind times? I would think that if one of my children brought home a toy, especially an expensive one, I would just demand that they give it back to the person who gave it to them.

The whole family were in the playground to spy on Gracey.

After she got the cupcake, she proceeded to eat it, herself. So they suspected that there really "was" no Annie.

But then, a little girl came up and sat down to talk to her.

Jim proceeded to hide out in the tunnel on the jungle jim to "eavesdrop" on their conversation, and found out that Gracey had been telling the truth, after all.

Of course, he then proceeded to get stuck in the tunnel, as the rest of the family left the playground.

Not the funniest episode I've seen, but still entertaining.

I don't have any children, so I'm no expert on how that should have been better handled...

Oh, and BTW, when we set our DVR to tape According to Jim just based on the program, alone - we always miss the end. Apparently, it always runs a little over. I've since learned to modify the recording to go for another minute or two. HTH!
