Hi there I have a question. Is it okay to take bottled water and snacks, I am not talking a four course meal, I am talking like fruit snacks, beef jerky, cookies, little things. Does Disney frown on this? Will they even let you clear the gates with this stuff? I have read that they search your "carry-ins". Do they make you get ride of any snacks or drinks before going into the parks? Thank you all ahead of time.

Hi Denverdi:

When we were there this past April they did do bag checks. They are checking for dangerous items, not bottled water.

We did take in our own bottled water and lemonaide. We took in a few granola bars, poptarts and such, too.

The bag checkers looked into my bag, asked me to move my stuff around a little and then sent me on my happy way.

Hope this helps....

We travel to WDW alot. It has been our experience that it is okay. We always carry granola bars, snack crackers, fruit snacks ect. Also we always take water with us. Last Oct. when we took our son for his birthday, they had just started checking backpacks prior to gate entry because of 9/11. We packed snacks same as always and the security people were making jokes because everyone does it. I don't think it will be a problem.

We went to WDW in May. I packed PB&J sandwiches, chips and juice boxes for my 4 year old twins. Security looked through my backpack, but never told me to remove the sandwiches.
