What goes in my backpack???

What is Moleskin?

And where do you find the glow necklaces at before hand?

moleskin is basically a bandage that goes over blisters. Its very helpful when your feet are getting sore.

And glow necklaces we cannot do without. My daughter takes them on the dark rides with her. She loves them. God forbid we forget them when we head out to the park! We have actually found them in the dollar store from time to time and when they are there we buy them up thinking ahead. Or if not there, party stores usually have them.

I just found glow bracelets - with the connectors - so you can hook them together and make necklaces if you wish - at Michael's craft store in the $1 section. There were 15 bracelets in each tube - :thumbsup2

Moleskin rocks! I bought some for our trip in August. I am so glad I had it- DD (6) got a blister on her foot and we put moleskin on it- she never complained again. It doesn't come off like bandaides sometimes can, it stays put and provides protection. Wipes are another thing on my have to have list!

Where do you find this moleskin? I have never heard of it nor seen it.

I have to laugh everytime I read what to pack. I always go oh, what a great idea. I carry around everything and only use a couple of things. I pack for everyone in the entire park!! Overall, what I used the most.....hand sanitizer and autograph books with camera!!
Have fun. Couldn't resist as I kept laughing reading all the items to pack.

I found our moleskin at Target in the foot care section.

So true. Next time we're not packing all that stuff....although that will be the time we need something off the list right? :)

Ok, here's what dh, dd4 and I pack for a day in the parks:

sunglasses (1 pair each)
sunscreen (smallest bottle we can find)
bandaids or moleskin (just a few- not the whole box)
sunhat (for dd)
digital camera (with extra battery and memory card, in waterproof protective case)
tylenol (itty bitty bottle)
trial size purell (although I never have used it- same bottle for 3 years)
2 bottles of water (we share- family germs don't count)

dh carries room keys and credit cards in his wallet

Family vacation experience has taught us that we'd rather have to do without stuff than lug extra junk around with us. (I had an epiphany in Washington DC when I unpacked an overstuffed backpack and a diaper bag for the 5th time in one day at museum security :rotfl: ) This way we can use a sling type messenger bag and keep our hands free, and we don't really miss most of the stuff.
