What food & snacks to you bring

I bring 2 PB&J's for each person, trail mix, apples or oranges, cherrios, fruit snacks, granola bars, energy drink individual powders for DH, and water bottles for everyone. We are a family of 4, but youngest DS doesn't eat real food yet and DS3 eats most of what I bring. A lot of this I take from the continental breakfasts at the hotel :)

Generally just Trail Mix & Bottled Water. Sometimes I'll bring a heartier meal but I generally just stop and eat if I'm hungry on my way to the park or between visits mid-day.... find that if I bring in a "real" meal it gets left in the bag in place of something better smelling.

I only bring bread or buns because of my celiac but only if testing a restaurant that does not have bread and buns. Lara Bars but will switch when those are done to Enjoy Life bars.

I took to Ariel's Grotto a piece of cherry pie and cornbread to show that we who are on special diets do not have to be force to eat sorbet while other pig out on cakes and chocolates. Chef looked and the dented pie and chunk of cornbread and I told him that I wanted the bread and dessert like normal people.

No candy though but always snack bars. I do not need bread normally.

Granola bars, fruit snacks and maybe some Red Bull. Put it all in a Camelbak backpack and you're good to go.

I bring Cajun Snack Mix from Target in a little bag. It has peanuts for protein and pretzles and little spicey crackers. This holds me between breakfast and lunch.

For the kids lunches & snacks, we are taking Uncrustables, individual Pringles chips, trail mix, granola bars, raisins, string cheese, sliced apples & grapes, Ding Dongs for dessert, bottled water and/or juice boxes.

For me, I'll probably get some counter service food as my meal and have my bottle of water and some Clif Bars to hold me over.

cliff bars, oh thanks, have to add that to my list.:)

One thing that DBF and I did that I was forever grateful for was we went to Target and bought a flat of water. Then we froze all of them so we had COLD water while we were in the parks!

If you have access to a freezer it's the best thing you could do... Oh and we also had trail mix!

hi there, we bring in granola bars, fruit snacks, trail mix, and yogurt tubes ( we freeze them sometimes)...water bottles or juice boxes....we always eat a very big breakfast and a big dinner....we munch on this stuff and usually get something small in the parks at some point...:goodvibes

our snack bag has granola bars, trail mix, those fruit chewy snack thingys, yan-yans, pocky sticks, cheese-n-crackers, and a little bit of chocolate and a couple of lollipops for dd in case of a "break-down" (or to keep her happy while waiting in a long line for a ride). of course, we also have our bottled water and a couple of juice boxes...and like one of the PPs, we also take a few items from the continental breakfast at the hotel (e.g., oranges, bananas, maybe a muffin and a croissant).

We had the kids carry their own waist packs, and let them put snacks in so they could eat whenever they felt like it. That cut down on the hungry attacks that can happen right when the counter service lines are all a mile long-- or while you're standing in line and they're suddenly so hungry they could eat a hippo. We also had granola bars and energy bars, goldfish crackers, cheese sticks, etc.

One other useful thing was those sugar-free individual drink mixers that you can put in your bottle of water and shake up for flavor. I think we had lemonade and fruit punch.

Nothing, there is so much in the park I hate to have to pack anything. Now when I take my son ( he has not gone since he was three as he hates disneyland ( autistic) he refuses to eat anything in the park so we pack Peanut butter and jelly. he will be going in August for the first time since August 2004

Ironically... Packing that stuff today for our trip on Friday!!!

1) Crystal lite or what ever brand you like
2) Homemade trail mix -- Yes, it ends up more expensive but we only put the stuff we like in it!
3) Fruit leather and or Fruit snacks
4) Goldfish
5) Lifesavers

I also check (no baggage fee on Southwest) a duffle or small suit case with our snacks for the trip. When the trip is over the food is gone and we have an extra bag for our souvies

1) Cereal
2) Instant Coffee and condiments (yes, I know people think instant is GROSS but we like it as I ONLY drink decaf and DH like the regular)
3) Our electric tea kettle for hot water for coffee, oatmeal and ramen
4) our refillable water bottles
5) Plastic bowls and spoons and disposable Coffee cups
6) and the snacks stated above

When we land we go to the Grocery store to buy:
1) Milk
2) Cream
3) Soda
4) Water

Hope this helps!!

Snacks and drinks are just one more reason we make the drive instead of flying. This trip is just my best friend and me as the kid is on a school trip while we are gone. lol Yes, I planned it that way.

Snacks for this trip include:
peanuts
fruit
jelly belly beans
and jolly ranchers

We will be packing lunch in most days That includes a small cooler with a ziploc bag of ice in the bottom to hold:
PB (&J for her) sandwiches
sunchips
water
grapes
baby carrots

We are also taking a case of water with us and will use frozen water bottles in place of the bag of ice assuming the freezer will actually freeze. Last time it wouldn't. I'll also take the individual Kool aid packs in case we get tired of water. I don't care for the sugar free ones as I don't like the aftertaste from aspartame. Oh, and she's a Pepsi feind so I've got some bottles of Pepsi to take along as well.

We'll aslo have juice, coffee, cereal, and hard boiled eggs for in the mornings.

We take our own water (we drive around with a case of water in our minivan, you just never know when you're gonna need good water to drink) bottles in, we take crackers, granola bars, trail mix, any good protein snacks really. We have taken in string cheese, peanut butter/apples, other fruits, fruit snacks as well. It saves us a LOT of $$$$ and since we go so often that's important to us. :)

I also bring along lots of small and medium Hefty zipper bags. I can buy a box of popcorn and then munch the whole day away without having to throw the popcorn away because I am in line.:lmao: I can make a box of popcorn last half a day and be filled up.

I will bring in (not all of these all the time):

Diet Coke in cans
Crystal Lite, or similar, flavor tubes
Cheezits or other crackers or cookies in a small ziploc
Cereal (Rice Krispies, Mini Wheats) in small ziploc
DD carrys her own water bottle on strap I made from O ring and woven trim (forgot actual name?)
Small amounts of candy (ziploc)
Styrofoam cup with lid and straw for my soda. I will get additional ice from CS.
Ziploc bag for caramel corn (DCA has the BEST Caramel Corn!) :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I like it even more than the Kettle Corn they sell in DTD.
Tea bags in cold weather/night. Get hot water from CS.

I think that's basically it.

We do that too! You never know what food you want to save for later. Peanut brittle is another that can spill out of its wrapper when opened. Can't say enough for bringing zip lock bags.! :thumbsup2

They are great for turkey legs and corn on the cob. Dirty diapers and when you are cleaning up after lunch at a CS. I tear open a bigger one to cover ECV controls. A great way to declare your rented stroller as yours is to spill coke all over a new diaper then put it in a bag and leave the bag on canopy of the stroller.:lmao:
