A co-worker and I were just discussing foods and drinks we used to enjoy that you can't find easily, if at all, any more.

For instance, I loved Quisp cereal!
She loved TAB cola.

What about y'all?

Jell-O pudding Pops

The first thing that popped into my head was Pepsi Free and then in Back to the Future where Michael J. Fox says "I want a Pepsi Free" and the guy says "I'll give you a Pepsi but it aien't free" or something like that.

You know someplaces still have Tabb you just have to look really hard to find it. My DH's grandmother was addicted to the stuff.

Feel free to include candy while we're close to Halloween.

I was never much of a candy eater, so I don't remember half the stuff she's talking about.

Was this a candy or was she really eating Long Johns????

Thank You!

But like Thomas Wolfe said, "You can't go home again". I'll bet it wouldn't be as good as the kid in me remembers.

Isn't that always the case?

But that's really cool; I appreciate you linking the site. It's no wonder he's an alien though, because those prices are out of this world!!!

Shedd's Sauce aka Aunt Nellie's Old Style Sauce....it was basically a mayo type base with horseradish...I loved it!

LOL! Good thing it's hard to find...the fat content was proably like 90%! :earseek: :teeth:

LOL! We mentioned Fresca is a A.R. Gurney play I did once!

As far as your tag line goes...

We don't need instructions! It's only off and on for us; we're not that complicated! :p

..Ooooo, and I just remembered a really cool thing..I fergit if they were called "space food"...but they were tubular, wrapped in foil packages and were chocolate or peanut butter flavored...they were popular during the Apollo space missions! :)

When the cereal Cookie Crisp was first introduced, they had vanilla flavored and choc chip flavored. They soon stopped making the vanilla flavored and I liked it best!

I don't know if I would like it now since I have progressed into less sugared cereals.

Peggy

Wow, I remember when Cookie Crisp first came out, but I don't remember the Vanilla flavor.

Then again, I wouldn't have looked for it...:p

Jello 1-2-3! :teeth: Maybe they'll bring it back someday. If they do, I'm hording cases of it. :teeth:

There were also mints made that were pastel colored, flat, about the size of a half dollar, sugary on the outside, melt in your mouth on the inside. They came in like 5 different colors and flavors. I loved those!! I wish I knew the name of them!

I really miss PDQ....it was a chocolate milk mix...or to use as icecream topping.....that's what I used it for.....I think carnation made it...anybody remember it??

Also, carnation chocolate chip breakfast bars.

A calipso!!!!! It's a cinnamon flavored ice cream shake. I can only find them at Big Boy back home in North Dakota.

Hamburger Helper used to have a chili mac variety. It was sooo good. I would add some shredded cheese on top and it would melt right into it.
Also, Russell Stovers used to make an Easter Egg with pink chocolate and then it had some pink sort of cream like filling. It had a little yellow flower with green leaves on the outside. For years they sold them separately, and then I could only find them as part of the gift packs. I cant even find that anymore. :(

I agree. I found a 7-11 in Virginia once and tried a Slurpee but it just wasn't the same. :(:(:(
