What Floor Should We Book?

We are sailing on the Wish in March and trying to decide what floor we should book our stateroom on. We are 4 adults and will certainly be spending time on the top deck/adult section but will also be going to the different lounges/entertainment. We are currently debating between 7 and 9 but would love to hear everyone’s recommendation based on their experience.

I always prefer to be a little higher, but I am not sure that's the best recommendation on the Wish. Because of the size of the elevators and the lacking midship bank, we spent a lot of time on the stairs. It was just too long a wait after dinners and shows to bother waiting. If the rooms you're considering are the same, I might think about that deck 7. If you're in decent shape or don't mind waiting for the elevators then definitely go to 9. It's not a lot of fun going up a lot of steps when you're excited to get out in the sun.

Stayed on deck 10 and deck 6 on two sailings on the wish.

It depends on what you will be doing the most. If on Pool deck all day long stay on 9. If planning to be in lounges, kids clubs, theaters etc then stay lower as all of those things are lower. It’s more of a personal choice based on where you feel you will spend the most amount of time.

Pay attention to what is above and below the cabin you pick.
You don’t want to be under the pool deck … chairs scraping, kids running.
You don’t want to be above or below a theater … you can hear the thudding of the music.
You don’t want to be above a restaurant … the restaurant kitchen run pretty much 24 hours a day and can be noisy.

We stayed deck 9 aft and really liked our location. Short walk to aft elevators/stairs. We just took the stairs up for pool/food and took the stairs down for dinner/shows. We found this very easy. We often took the stairs back up too - and we are not in peak fitness either, but it's certainly do-able. Deck 9 allowed us to avoid the elevators for daytime meals/activities as 2 adults sailing without kids. Deck 7 might make you more dependent on the elevators.
