I was just wondering how much cash I should take to discovery cove for extra's such as drinks and snacks for the kids. We are going on the 31st Aug and I imagine with the heat we will need to drink quiet alot, and I am sure the kids will need to have a snack in the day. I know you get a lunch included in the admission price, but am unclear what else is included. Any help and advice would be greatly appreiciated for a first timer.

Any drinks and snacks are included in the price. The only money you will need is that for souveniers.

Wendy,

We were at Discovery Cove in February. We had coffee & muffins when we arrived, snacks & drinks were available to us all day. We also had a very nice lunch. The food was great!!

You will need funds for any images or video taken by the Discovery Cove photographer, as well as souveniers.

My family & I had a wonderful day... you will too!!

When you check in, they'll ask to see the credit card you used to secure the reservation, plus your license, so bring them. Your credit card can be tied to your ID badge to buy things in the park, like your pictures. At least that's the way it worked when I went a few years ago.

Other things you may need are those rubber shoes that have a mesh cover on top. Visit a Walmart, or Target. The shoes will be used in the coral reef lagoon to protect your feet, plus they are good on a hot day for walking thru the sand. You'll also want to buy a disposable underwater camera.
