What excursions on the Eastern

Butterfly farm, Coki Beach and Coral World on our own. You can do them thru DCL, but on your own is cheaper and on your time schedule.

The beach is right across from Coral World, so no extra charge--just walk over. You can get discount coupons for Coral World admission at the tourist info booth right outside of the dock area. Taxis are very plentiful. It's safe and easy to do on your own.

You didn't tell us what ages...the above are good for kids and adults.

Our kids are 9,10, and 11. They like to do anything and are adventerous. (Sometimes too adventerous) Did you book the excursions online or once you got off the boat. When we were on the Western we did it all on our own because you do save alot and get to do more for the money

We did it on our own after we got to the islands. On the Western, we booked Captain Marvin's in advance. Butterfly farm might be too tame for your sons....Coral World is an aquarium with underwater viewing, hands on areas, hiking trails, gift shop, snack shop, etc.

At St. Martin - Rhino Riders!!! You'll just need to have 3 adults - 1 per kid (if it's you and DH then you can toss kid #3 in with the guide - but call ahead to check that).

Booked everything on our Eastern via Shoretrips.com. Did a half-day catamaran sail and snorkel thru them at St. Thomas, but I didn't see that on their site the last time I checked. Awesome sailing weather for the adventurous at St. Thomas!

For adventure in St. Maarten, you can't beat the 12 metre reggetta. It was a blast.

We did the Doubloon Sail and Snorkle at St. Thomas. It was the highlight of our cruise. I have two sons 10 & 13 and they still talk about it! The staff are fun and make the trip soooo exciting.

Have a great cruise!

Isn't there an age limit on the regatta? I seem to remember it was 12 and older.

I concur with the thumbs up for Doubloon. They have a great website. They take pictures of each participant in the boat and post it on the web site Mine is still up from Feb 2004. You even get a pirate tattoo which could be fun for pirate night! http://www.doubloon.com/ for more infor
