What exactly is transfering points?

Hi!! My husband and I are owners at VWL. We currently have a reservation for later this year but due to family now saying they will join us -but only in March - we are looking to switch our ressie. We are disapointed to give up our week at WL but excited family are going. With our change of plans we would also be better suited at the Beach Club. I have been looking at the the rent/trade board curious to see if there is a process in which we may offer our week to someone who had BCV as home and was interested in a trade for first week in March 2011 which would be becoming available for them to reserve soon. Would this be a transfer? I got nervous reading some of the posting rules that I would mess this up terribly and decided to check to see how something like this is handled. Please forgive my ignorance and thank you so much for any info!!!!

A Transfer would be the trasnfer of points to another owner so the other owner could make a reservation. You can only have 1 transfer in OR out per use year.

It sounds like you want a reservation trade, because you cannot transfer your existing reservation. Sticky situation because your points get used before you receive your compensation (stay)
