I'm going to take my 11 y/o daughter to US. She doesn't like roller coasters - so I'm not really sure how she will like it, but she really wants to see Harry Potter. Can someone explain the spiderman ride. Is it a roller coaster or a 3d movie ride? Can you give a Disney ride comparison? Thanks.

It's not a rollercoaster. It's a 3-D attraction that moves along a track. The car spins and pitches in different directions. You should check YouTube for ride videos.

It is a great ride! It is virtual reality. It seems like you are really in the scene with the characters. Nothing fast, scary or drops. I hate roller coasters because they make my stomach so sick. I love Spiderman!

I got sick on the Forbidden Journey (motion sick) will I have the same problem on Spider Man?

Spiderman isn't nearly as intense as FJ but I don't know if you'll be sick or not. That's hard for anyone to predict. My advice is to look up a few ride videos and see what you think. I think if you can handle Dinosaur at AK you should be fine.

If you have ridden Dinosaur at AK, them you will get a good sense of the ride. Throw that in with 3d projection screens and you have one awesome ride. Spidey literally jumps on the car. It's a great rush. I got a little woozy riding FJ back to back but never felt that way after spidey. I would suggest that you sit in the middle of the car, the sides seem to be a little confining.

I can get sick on Spiderman. However, because there is lots of space around you to look elsewhere other than the screen, it is easily remedied. You can also take off the 3D glasses and this seems to make the motion sickness dissipate.

I get sick on Forbidden Journey. But Spiderman is just fine. I think it has to do with the 3D.
But to answer the question, Spiderman is a slice of awesome sprinkled with a dash of amazing, and baked to 420 degrees of killer and the result is a fun pie with *****in sauce!

I'm not fond rollercoasters and terrified of anything with a drop (like Tower of Terror) but Spiderman is awesome! The special effects are amazing and the
3-D puts you in the middle of the action. I'd just suggest to your daughter that if she finds it too frightening just look away or close her eyes during those parts. I bet she won't, though!

I enjoy Spiderman a whole lot, and think that its done very well. I'm not one too be scared on rides, or ever get sick, but there were a couple times the last time we rode Spiderman that I did feel like I was falling, even though the car is pretty much on or near the ground the whole time (I was actually gripping my husbands arm, hoping not to fall out of the car :lmao:). I laugh at myself now thinking about how I acted.

ANYONE can do spiderman if i can! i am the biggest ride coward ever

and i love this ride! i can't do men in black or cat in the hat but for some

reason spiderman is no problem!

how does the simpsons compare? i am scared to ride it....
