And how do I do this while we're there?????? I've never been able to be there during F&W so I didn't research it and time is pretty short right now so can a pro give me the condensed version of what it is how, cost, what to expect, etc. Do each of the countries have foods to try or is there a pavillion or what?? :confused3

All around World Showcase at EPCOT there are small booths around the promonade from different countries, not just the one with pavilions, that sell sample sized foods and drinks from that country. These include alchoholic and non-alcho They range from around $2-$6. There are also seperate events like wine tasting and demo's that cost extra for admission and usually require advanced reservations.

You can check out menu's and more information on the Dis parent site at www.wdwinfo.com under events.

So this is completely seperate from what is normally there and I can just "graze" my way around the world? stop it......hehehehehehe Seriously? This sounds like the Taste of Syracuse where we have 50+/- restaurants who let you try an item for $1!

So it is a booth kind of like what they have for the Grey Goose Slushies guy? (he's my favorite man after my husband! lol)

thank you soooo much!

This is totally extra from what is usually there. The booths are very much like the place that serves the Grey Goose Slushies, they just look a little more temporary. Walking around the lagoon, grazing is one of the biggest attractions of the F&W. :thumbsup2 There are probably around two dozen booths from places like Greece (baklava) and New Zealand (lamb slider). Most choices are in the $3-$5 range.

We usually don't go in to much for the tastings or seminars. We have gone during F&W four times now and will go again at the end of October.

One advice is to stay away from EPCOT on weekends as a lot of locals go for the festival and it is more crowded.

There is a sticky thread at the very top of the Restaurant forum that is all about the 2009 F&W Festival. It has links to the Festival Guide that details special programming as well as the food and drink selections that will be available at the various food booths.

There is a lot of chatter on the thread as well, but all the important and most useful information is included in the first couple of posts and the links are updated frequently.

Thank you both VERY VERY much!!!!! I'm thinking that wearing my loosest outfit of the trip will be very wise on the day we go! lol I just saw too that they have concerts during this time! WOWZA! Spyro Gyra will be there during our trip and we looooooove these guys! :goodvibes For a last minute trip, this sounds like it may be right up there as one of our best ones!

The F&WF is one of the greatest things I have ever experienced at WDW (I'm only half joking). My Dad and I would both get things and then share them after every booth/kiosk. Some lines are longer than others (the one I think it's in Germany is VERY popular). We also picked up a F&WF map and marked on it what we ate and our rating (which the rating quickly stopped as everything we tried was getting the highest rating :) ). By far our absolute favorite was the flank steak with chimichurri sauce at the (I think) Brazil kiosk. Have a great time! It's a blast!

I love F&W - especially the wine (and beer). It is an amazing experience.........

The food is good too...........
