I've read a few threads and the info on the wide website but still don't fully understand what exactly this is. What I gathers is that All the pictures that the park photographers take are yours to keep forever and to print as many as you want for $149? so what about Photo Pass - if you have MM it would seem PhotoPass is not needed? Very confusing lol!

Photopass is a service for getting your picture taken. Memory Maker is a product that allows you to download all your photos taken during a specific period of time for one set price, rather than purchasing them individually at $14.95-ish per photo. You do receive a release to print the photos.

If you are with a large group, you can connect everyone's pictures under one account with one payment of $149 even if you are under separate reservations. Just make sure people are linked together on MDE.

Sharing Memory Maker with other people
In order to share Memory Maker with other people, you can either:

  • Make sure you're all listed in the same My Disney Experience account OR
  • Make sure you're linked as friends within My Disney Experience and have checked the option to allow sharing of photos for all people
When you're logged in, go to the family and friends page and make sure this option is selected for the people you're connected to.

This site has a solid explanation of Photopass and Memory Maker and how to use it.
