What exactly is a bounceback and will I get one ?

DH and I are staying at the Poly for the first time and in the World for the first time since the 80s. I've seen many threads discussing bouncebacks . Tell me what you know..will we get one after check-in for our next visit? Exactly what are they?

Bounce backs are not always offered. They are offered certain times of year to certain guests. Usually you have to book your next vacation before checking out. The bouceback will be for a certain time frame. When we got one it was during free dining last year for free dining this year. A brochure was left in our hotel room. I hope this helps.

Thanks!! I had never heard the term(newbie here) and was trying to figure out the specifics by all the posts I've been reading and I hadn't quite done it yet. Your explanation was perfect Hope we get a bounceback of some sort.

This year what I have seen are fliers in the room that are fairly large and shaped like a pocket watch. The Alice in Wonderland White Rabbit is featured on the fliers.
There is also a WDW TV station that gives info for the bounceback program, if one is being offered.
There is a particular number to call to book before checking out.
If you stay on site and do not see a bb flier and are interested, ask at the front desk to at least get the number to call. Although occasionally we read where guests ask at the front desk during a bb and no one knows anything about it. Better yet -- get it from this board and just call when you stay on site.
Even if you don't know if you want to bounceback for certain -- book it! You can always cancel if you need to, as you will not be able to book a bb once you leave. And we often read where people have returned home and decided to book and then cannot.

I just booked a bounceback that was offered on a flyer in our room at ASMo. I was good for 40% off of deluxe resorts. So, I changed our Sept ressie to the Poly for $238/night

Are you sure the bounceback was for 40% off Deluxe resorts, not 30% as posted by others and on Mousesavers? The 40% in the previous bounceback was for Villas only. Moderate and Deluxe's were 30%.

If so, could you let us know what dates the 40% off Deluxe Resorts were valid for.

I used the bouceback offer. I was there in April at CS and called at checkout time and booked for this August at FWC for $178.00. It's $255.00 this time of year. This is the 1st time we received the bounceback and weve been there more than 15 times.

You're right 238 per night is 30% off not 40% like the CM told me when I booked Oh, well, I am still too excited to sleep
