Hi folks, I often read about "AP" rates being better than our DVC discounts on rooms. As a new and maturing DVC member, what does this mean and how do I/we go about getting it??
AP stands for Annual Pass. Annual Passholders receive discount rates at WDW resorts that are applicable only to them. You must have an AP in order to check in to the resort and get the rate. Many DVC'ers have AP's and use the AP discounts occasionally. The AP discounts are usually about the best rates you can get. The rates are published a few months prior to when they are available. AP holders get a newsletter announcing the rates but word of mouth on the internet travels faster than the US mail. Many people book their rooms using regular rates and then check internet postings and call back regularly to switch their ressies over to a better rate.
