I keep seeing people talk about crocs. I know they are shoes but what exactly do they look like or are comparable with? I am trying to decide what shoes to take we leave in 42 days. Please help!

They look like plastic clogs. Some people rave about how comfortable they are however some people, like me :rotfl: can't get over how ugly they are. jmho.

Btw, there are knockoffs at Payless Shoes and I'm starting to see them in other stores like Target, too.

Here's their site:

Thanks, i was afraid that is what they were. I agree i don't think that i could get over them being so ugly.

I don't care for them... but after hearing how good they are, well, I am going to try them out...... if I can find ones that feel good on my feet. I did try some on, the real ones, they didn't fit my foot good, one size rubbed on my toe, the next size up was HUGE! But I didn't have very long to look around and see if the store I was at had any other styles.

Are the male and female ones the same?? Or are they sized differently?

Still pondering the idea..... I still have 70 somedays to figure it out!

I heard they were very comfortable...but I agree they arent the best looking shoe. However you can decorate them with jibbitz.

Check it out at : www.jibbitz.com

You stick these little pin like things through the holes in the croc....they even have mickey,minnie,donald,etc.......

If any of you watch Oprah you may have seen the woman on there who created jibbitz........within in one year her bussiness went from her basement to a million dollar bussiness...could you imagine.

This woman and her daughters were having a craft day....she stuck something from the craft box in the hole of the croc and that is were the idea started. Why couldn't I think of that.

They're pretty cute on kids, but yeah, they'renot the most attractive thing. That said, I won't go to WDW without them again. I could not believe how much happier my feet were with them instead of my athletic shoes designed for walking. I was really amazed. They are adding new styles and just added a couple that are much nicer than the clogs as far as fashion goes..... I think I'm going to try one of the sandals. Try crocs.com to see what's there now. :)

I will not wear mine out of the house, tooo ugly! But the kids can get away with it. I just cant even run up to the school wearing them. I have big feet size 11, they look like huge lime green pontoons.

Kids wear them everywhere. 3 of the kids just got thiers over the weekend. DS2 keeps puting them on the wrong feet.

They are very comfortable, just to ugly.:crazy2:

Okay I know what you guys mean about them being ugly. I felt the same way and I have been putting off on getting them. But I finally broke down and bought a disney pair and loved them so much I bought another disney pair in a different color. They are VERY comfortable and I will be wearing them during my upcoming trip. Last time at Disney World my feet hurt from all the walking so I am hoping these will help that. I am all for comfort at disney for those long days of walking!

Yes they are ugly...that said we have a total of 7 pairs in our house! :lmao: The DH, DD and I all have 2 pair and the DS has one. We LOVE them. Our feet never hurt, when we wear them. :) For the first time in months I actually wore a pair of tennis shoes the other day. My feet were in pain.

Yes, they are ugly...but for the comfort I will wear them every day and be thrilled. :goodvibes

OK, I am going to break down and buy the ugly things! I keep reading thread after thread about how great they are....that many people can't be wrong!! My daughter has them and loves them. I think they are cute on her (she's 4) but the adult ones are pretty funny looking. I live in NJ & I don't think they are as popular here as in the south. I see them in the stores, I just never see them on anyone's feet. I am getting some...maybe I'll start a trend here!

DD got a new pair of disney crocs this evening...DS got regular crocs, because they didn't have his size in blue in the disney and he's at an age where the color is the most important thing. I just purchased disney crocs on-line. I have a very hard to fit foot, so we'll see how they feel (12W).

I just got back from DICK'S and bought 2 new pair. I already own the Mary Jane's in black and the Beach styles. Today I picked up the Cleo and Capri styles. I LOVE them and don't care HOW they look. I teach Kindergarten and am on my feet all day. Can't beat the comfort of my Mary Janes!

I don't care what other people think about how my feet look! I am the one that has to walk on them every day.....

Well I am going to break down and buy some. I spoke with my neighbor yesterday and she said that she as a pair of the crocs and a knock off pair from payless and said that i should definately get some for DW. I asked her if the knock offs were comfy and she said that she really couldn't tell the difference.

One other thing I forgot to mention. My mom recently spent 3 weeks in the hospital and I was amazed at the number of nurses and DOCTORS that were wearing Crocs!

Gotta say - they are the most comfortable shoes by far. That is why you see nurses / dr's wearing them.

They aren't "pretty" but ... everyone wears them. There are a lot of different choices out there. My son has a Mickey pair - my wife has the sandals too.

Be careful NOT to buy the knockoffs. What makes them so comfy is the spongy rubber - you won't get that in a knockoff.
