What Ever Happened To River Country???

I have gone to River Country, when I was younger but don't remember it. My parents brought me there when I was around four or five.

In the past couple of years for some reason I really wanted to go there. But, my parents would say that it really was'nt anything special.

Then she said, it was no comparison to Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon. All of a sudden it was closed. Is there any future plans for River Country. I would really like to go there.

I do not expect River Country to ever reopen due to demand. There is not enough interest with the other two water parks. There was a package that included Discovery Island that forced the demand, but once DI closed, RC days were numbered. I expect t to reopen as an amenity to Ft. Wilderness in some form someday--like the enhanced pools at other resorts.
