...to a friend who is visiting Epcot solo while attending a conference? This is her first trip to Disney World. She’ll be spending the first 3 days of her trip at Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom with her family, then her family leaves while she attends her conference. I’ve convinced her to head to Epcot one night for dinner and a few rides. I haven’t eaten in that many of the World Showcase restaurants, so I’d love to know which restaurant you would recommend if this were your friend? My plan is to give her several choices so she can decide which food sounds best. Thanks!

Our favorite is Spice Road Table. Nice atmosphere, great food, fantastic staff. If she wants a signature meal, I would recommend Monsieur Paul.

There are also some great QS there if she would rather not make an ADR. We like Tangierine Cafe.

Personally, I would avoid Biergarten and Teppan Edo if she would rather not dine with others. She would be seated at communal tables there.

There are so many choices. My recommendation would be to have her look at the menus online to decide. There are multiple online sources for the menus. Without knowing her food preferences, its impossible to make a good suggestion.

San Angel Inn. Favorite atmosphere in WS and I would not hesitate to eat a meal alone there.

What kind of food does she like? IMO, none of the Epcot restaurants are bad (yeah, even Nine Dragons - it's standard American Chinese but it's done well). So I think she should make her choice based on the type of stuff she likes most. For ex Biergarten could be fun if she's looking for that atmosphere, but San Angel Inn if she's looking for a quiet getaway.

When I've gone solo I actually liked being in a group setting like Biergarten and Teppan Edo. It's easy for me to interact in conversation with strangers.

Biergarten is best; because, you can stay as long as you want or as little as you want with it being a buffet. Eat fast if you want to get out in a hurry.

If you just want to be with yourself I really like Chef de France with a window view.

Quick service is good if you don't want to be on a set time for a meal.

Tell her to book Rose & Crown at 19:30 or later. She's gets a good meal and if everything times out right a nice seat for the show.

I would recommend Biergarten so she would be able to chit chat with others while she ate.
