What Entrees to AVOID

Coral Reef!! I had the glazed salmon (I think)...I thought the menu selection was terrible and the portion size was ridiculously small for the amount of money. EVERYTHING else in Disney has been excellent.

I had a so-called steak at Sci-Fi for dinner. It was absolutely horrible, as were the sides that came with it.

Nothing horrible, but the Salmon at Le Cellier was my worst meal at WDW. It was just really bland. Imagine taking a nice salmon filet, then boiling it with absolutely no seasoning at all... that's what it tasted like, bleh! The salmon was slightly better than the service though.

The first year it opened my pre teen son ordered the cobb salad. We took a picture of his face. We had heard sooo much about it and it looked and tasted like a large bowl of smushed, wilted soggy lettuce. Yuch!!

I dont think my husband really cared for the pot pie at 50's prme time. To fancy, for him. Made up with puff pastry, no bottom. He was thinking of a big portion of swansons potpie. What he got was a fancy type. He was truly disappointed. Maybe others would love it. But, him. He didnt care for it at all. I guess you can call him a meat and potato type of guy.

We were at Tony's in MK this past May. What I ordered wouldn't have seemed so bad if what my mom ordered hadn't been so good. I ordered calamari, chicken florentine, and a hazelnut torte. My mom ordered a salad, veal t-bone, and carmelized apple cake. Her salad was excellent whereas my calamari were very soggy and greasy. My poor chicken had been beaten to death to flatten it almost paper thin (the ham was almost as thick as the chicken) and it was very dry, whereas my mom refused to let me even try her veal, saying only that is was the best meal she'd ever had at WDW and she wasn't sharing. This from a woman who prefers vegetables over meat. My hazelnut torte was so dry and tough that I couldn't cut it with a fork and knife. Granted she said her apple cake was 'just OK'.

A filet steak at Narcossess, over cooked and dry, undercooked potatoes and mushy mushrooms and a waiter who did not care and also tried to over charge us.

The only 2 meals I remember not really caring for were one trip to Coral Reef and we had very few choices but this was years ago and I think it has improved since then. Also the pasta sauce in Italy was very bland. We prefer Portabello YC over Italy pavillion. Otherwise no truely bad food was to be had in the world so far.

The chicken entree at the Flying Fish. It was disgusting. I took one bite and almost got sick from it.

Anything at Kona Cafe. Had a horrid breakfast and dinner there on two separate trips.

My family hated Capt Jacks small portions, bland tastes and little variety as well as expensive..

We had a REALLY BAD dinner in Italy in Epcot. There were 9 of us and only 1 ate their dinner. The salads and dessert were good but the entres were horrible. Never again!

However, we had a really great dinner at the Polynesian at O'Hana's. It was fabulous. We also liked the Kona Kafe but did not like the fast food place there....Captain something or other.

I still LOVE WDW!

I also had an inedible meal there. It was the shrimp with pasta dish, it was a gummy mushy mess. DD had the lasanga and didn't like it but that could be because it wasn't the yummy cheesy meaty lasanga that she is used to. It was made with a cream sauce not with ricotta and mozzerella cheeses like we make it here.

Thanks. Like I said, there were 9 of us. DH and DS both had lasagna....said it tasted like Chef Boy R D. 5 of us had Fettuccini Alfredo.....NONE of us ate it....DD said it tasted like burnt popcorn. Some sent it back and tried something else we could not eat. 4 year old granddaughter didn't eat her meal either and the one Italian person in our group had a meal with 3 different items and he didn't eat half of his meal. 9 people....not one person ate everything. But, we had a good time. The waitress tried but due to language barriers, she did not understand much.

The only bad entree I've ever had at WDW was the chicken parm at Mama Melrose. The breading was very thick and totally soggy, the chicken was totally dried out, and apparently they were running low on pasta when we were served because I only got about 5 strands of spaghetti and each of my kids got about a quarter of a cup served in a huge bowl.

I had planned on getting chicken parm at MM also. I may have to rethink that. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

The only bad entree I've ever had at WDW was the fried catfish at SciFi. It was edible but literally tasteless. They didn't season the breading at all.

I sprinkled salt and pepper all over it but it didn't help much. I picked at it, ate the sides, and left it behind.

The Mojo shrimp @ Shutters. The wings were very, very good, but neither of us enjoyed our entrees there. DD had the child's meal - grilled chicken, DH had the steak.
