haha I forgot that one! Yes DBF has adult ADD. We can be in a conversation, I ask him a question, and he is just staring blankly at something and then says what?
I need to get him a Tshirt that says
I don't have ADD, I'm just mis-under
OH LOOK A CHICKEN
Now this is funny. I often joke that I have the same thing. In fact, this past summer, Joe and I were laughing about a t-shirt we had seen earlier that day. It was one that said, "I don't have a ADD, I just... LOOK! A kittie!" We were taking a walk that night, talking about things, when I interrupted myself when I saw something scuttle by, "LOOK! A rabbit!..... wait, what was I saying?"
Joe has said many times that for someone who is one of the most intelligent people he knows, I'm the absolute biggest dingbat absent minded people he's ever met.
But that's me.
Joe does have a couple of quirks. The biggest one is at night, when I'm in bed, ready to go lights out, desperate to go to sleep. But no. Joe has to go to the bathroom to... do the friggin' New York Magazine crossword puzzle. Yep. Under the guise of taking care of other business, he sits and does the crossword puzzle, loses track of time and is in there for a solid (no pun intended) half hour. Drive me crazy.
But that's really the only major thing he does that makes me go a little nuts. Otherwise, his quirks just amuse me. Por ejemplo, at dinner, he usually has his left forearm on the table, partially wrapped around his plate, his thumb tucked into his fist. I always tell him, "Sweetie, that's your food, I promise I won't steal it."
The other that really gives me the snickers is that he has evolved over the years into a Star Gate, sci-fi uber geek. I won't dare make fun of him for it though, since I'm just as dorky, actually moreso, about horror stuff. Nevertheless, my boyfriend is a nerd. There, I said it. And I love him for it. LOL!
