What does your 12mo old eat??

Seriously? You don't give raisins? They're a recommended first food here!!!!

I didn't give them to my DD until she was 1 though...

Just want to tell you about the food mill my SIL just bought for her 8 month old. It is hand operated and grinds up everything. Her DD had corn, steak, and potatoes all ground up, the same as everyone else.
Wish I'd had one when my kids were little!

BTW... Raisins and carrots aren't recommended 'til the age of 3 here (Canada) either. However, being one of the FEW vegetables my DD and now DS would eat, I gave them baby carrots (Supervised!) from about 20 months.

My girls at around 12mo. ate a lot of hummus, avacados and tofu. These were recommended by our doctor and all went over very well.

Of course they ate a lot of the other things that are mentioned too.

So crazy what we hear is recommeded and what's not. DD3's daycare said they don't recommend raisins unless I make her brush her teeth right after because of the fact they stick to the teeth so much. I used to feed DD5 raisins ALL the time.

I just got my Parenting magazine in the mail yesterday and it had and article called 52 healthy table food (or soemting like that) and it showed the foods and how they should be cut up. so many obvious foods that I just didn't think of. I will be giving her avacado as she had Guac with chips last weekend and LOVED it!

My Baby is 1 today :)

He pretty much eats everythingwe eat. I usually make sure I have some type of jar food when we go out as a back up.
