What does WDW need most?

More choices for familys of 5 for resorts. It drives me nuts that there isn't a more "budget" option than the Deluxe resorts - unless we want POR which is a small room! Our hands down favorite resort is AKL and now that my daughter is older than 3, we can't stay there without getting a Deluxe Savannah Room...we can only afford the standard!

AKL offers a room for your family, you just don't like the price. There is a difference between not having a room and not having one at the price you want to pay. Not trying to be rude but your point isn't any different than a couple that wishes POLY was less expensive. I'm not saying you don't have a point, rack rates at the deluxe hotels far exceed the prices that comparable hotels charge elsewhere but it's not really related to family size.

I agree Disney needs to offer some larger rooms/suites in the value resort category. Half of POP CENTURY is unbuilt. Offer some mini-suites, similar to doubletree, that will sleep 5 or 6. Try to price it 50% above the price of a basic value room. Considering the number of value resort rooms Disney built over the last 10-15 years I'm surprised they didn't make any of the rooms large enough to accommodate larger families.

Right now larger famlies can get a lot more for their money if they're willing to stay offsite.

Create a new land in the Magic Kingdom (or add more thrill rides with a good story behind them)

Update Spaceship Earth!

Add more countries to Animal Kingdom (Australia? North America?)

Expand the monorail

Say goodbye to Indiana Jones and Honey I Shrunk the Audience and replace them with better shows

More rides to MGM

Parade in Epcot

A SIMPLE admission ticket to DisneyWorld(the entire world)..period!

Not sure exactly what you mean by that. I like MYW because I don't want to pay for waterparks. Others don't want to park hop. Others don't care about non-expiration. Seems to me like simplification forces people to pay for things they don't want-- which is the complete opposite direction that MYW is going.

For the past few years they have had much of the same old stuff in the World Showcase stores!!

Get some new, cool merchandise in those WS shops!!! I have enough Dale sweaters, Anne of Green Gables dolls, Chinese marionettes, several painted Mexican things.......

Shopping around the world is getting boring for me - and that is saying a lot as I LOVE to shop. ;)

I'm going with a couple things that have already been mentioned.

COFFEE. WDW seems to do everything well. Why not the coffee? It's not enought to ruin a trip, but every morning...BLECH!

Affordable accomodation for larger families. This isn't just a Disney thing, but it would be great if there were rooms for six in the All Stars! Paying for two rooms is a killer!

Well it would be nice if they let you reserve more things about your room. We spend so much time here discussing which rooms have the best views - why not let you reserve a particular room or at least a particular bulding/wing or floor? I know this could get difficult if everybody did it, so they'd have to attach a premium price, or just allow it in limited quantities, but if you're willing to make your reservation long enough in advance or pay extra, you should get what you want.

How about more bed options? Let me pay more for a queen or king sized bed and let me reserve that. Some resorts offer this, others do not.

Here's my list.

Lower ticket prices. They are starting to price themselves out of reach for over half of the population.
Add a Disney Classic park. Bring back the old rides that everyone loved so much and miss.
Update some of the older rides in the parks so they can catch up with todays technology.
Frequent Visit Miles. I am about to go for my 23rd trip to the Kingdom. Luckily, I haven't had to pay for all of those but someone did. That's alot of money. We should be able to get something out of it. I can't tell you how many $1000's of dollars we have spent there.
Close down the rides or attractions least visited and bring in some new stuff. I will not go on Jungle Cruise anymore. It's not even cute to my kids anymore. They know the lines by heart. It's time to do a little changing.

And then should they put the Jungle Cruise at the Classics Park? :rotfl:

I agree that MGM could use a couple more rides, but I would hate to see Disney go the way of a "thrill park" They are already adding Expedition Everest (which looks awesome!) but I wouldn't want to see something like that at MK, it just isn't that kind of park.

I would love to see the monorail expanded though, is there any talk of that at all?

In your opinion, what does WDW need most?

Longer and more challenging cycling and jogging paths, to help work off all that food.

More graduated terracing around the World Showcase Lagoon, so more people can have a front-row seat.

More full-service dining options in the Animal Kingdom and the Magic Kingdom.

We're going back in January for the first time in a couple of years. Are the prices really reducing the crowds in the parks by that much?

Some, any, alternative Disney Transport from Marketplace to Pleasure Island to West Side to Typhoon Lagoon. Will probably need use of the third dimension (underground or overhead). Regular buses would pick up at West Side or perhaps some other connection point to the west that is even less congested. Too bad little or no imagineering was done to provide better movement of people besides congested roads that are no differnet fromany city.

Modified versions of their new thrill rids. Mostly Mission Space.

I had never rode Mission Space, but I would love to see the technology behind it without losing my lunch. I wish Disney would do a version of this ride that can include everyone. I have high blood pressure and after reading all the warnings I don't want to risk it.

It is almost a no-brainer to run a "chicken version" of Mission Space and perhaps even Tower of Terror. There would be a separate "chicken line" and when enough guests have filled that line the next ride cycle would be the less intense version.

I agree wholeheartedly with the releasing the hours at the same time as the 90 day window--it's hard to make p.s. plans without the hours.

How about a direct bus from the theme parks to Downtown Disney--I hate having to go back to the resorts & transfer. That would save so much time.

In refernce to dunkin donuts
there is a town north of boston haverhill it has 23 DD!!!!!!!!!!
its crazy
we left the park on several occassions as my mom HAD to have to dunkins
i was NOT happy

I agree that a few rides or attractions could do with updating. The Indiana Jones show at MGM could be replaced with the Indiana Jones ride they have at DLP. Also I think that Space Mountain should be more like the one at DLP. Having riden Space Mountain at DLP before the one at WDW I was really dissapointed with it.
I agree with the idea of buses from the parks to DTD. ALso I wish they would post the park hours and the PS times at the same time as well.
