does it mean you have to leave a deposit, but how do they do it on your credit card? our rental is only going to be $133 for the week, can we pay in cash? that worries me that if they have to take $250 from my card when it wont cost that much

Which car rental company is that from?

It sounds like they would put a $250 hold on your credit/debit card. I'm sure someone else can jump in here and explain this.

I'm deciding on which company to rent from also and that's one of the things I'm looking at.

its Dollar rental. the first reservation I made it said $200, then when I cancelled that and made another b.c it was cheaper it said $200.

They will put a hold on your Credit Card so you cannot access that money. Many car rental companies do this. They one's that I know off the top of my head that don't are Alamo and National.
