My ADR date opened up for November 8th and every place I put in(2), on the confirmation, it says that we "may be seated on more than on table". It is the 5 of us (parents and 3 kids) and really do not want to be split up. Is this just standard or is there really a possibility that we will be split up?

Happy Mothers Day Everyone!

It is both. It is a standard message, and there is a small possibility your family will be split up. Very small possibility. We have only ever been split up once, and that was as a family of 8 for breakfast in the Castle. And then we were right next to each other, so it wasn't a big deal.

You will get that message more often than not. Don't stress about it.:)

We've been a party of 4, party of 6 and a party of 8 and seen this msg come up on many of our ADRs. The only time I recall being split...and this was done really more for time purposes was at Rose & Crown as a party of 8. THey didn't really have anything opening any time soon for a party of our size so they split us into two tables of four, but still were able to seat us right next to each other. I have seen families split up at CRT and Crystal Palace. Most of the parties we've seen split are 8+ size wise. And after waiting 45 min at Mama Melrose for a table for 6... I WISH they'd used this splitting approach there as well. :rolleyes2

Ah, that's good to know it's a standard response - we are a family of 4 (2ad/2ch) and we got that message when we booked our ADR at Akershus - it seemed strange for a party of only 4 people!

Some tables only seat two people, so they want everyone to be aware of the possibility. Technically, you can reject any available tables, until they can seat you together, but you may end up waiting for a while.

When I went to Disney with 7-9 people, we were only split up once, and it was at Sci Fi Dine In where I think ALL the tables only seat 4 - maybe more if you can squeeze together.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. The likelihood of your group being split isn't very high, but it is a possibility.
