Try talking to them to tell the the phone number of person they are call for if you want then tell them to stop calling you are your getting your attorney to send a cease and desist letter, then you will sue them if they brake it..

google the phone number to get the address write them cease & desist letter

get an uniden cordess/ corded phone with call blocking feature. you can block up to 20 number its wonderful they cant leave messages and the phone doesnt even ring when they call....oh control again

some phone companys have this feature on your line so call phone companies too so then you can block up to 40 number lol like me if needed

What can i say i pay the phone bill and hate to get grilled about daniel smith while trying to live my life in peace

I used to get collection calls all the time on my tracfone but they've stopped. Sometimes we get calls at home for "xxx Patel". And we have gotten calls in the past for relatives who were delinquent on their bills - after awhile I got irritated and just gave the agencies their phone numbers.

I get them all the time for my ex husband and his new wife (or ex wife I think). We were divorced 15 years ago.

We were getting daily and sometimes 2 or 3 times daily calls from a car company looking for my BIL who lives out of state. I told them I didn't have contact info (true) and to stop calling. That didn't work. They would leave messages if I didn't answer. I really felt they were harassing me. I looked them up online and reported them to the BBB. The calls stopped and they sent me a visa gift card for my troubles.

I had a situation like this: Bill collectors were calling my house looking for a relative every day around 3:00 in the afternoon. It got old. Every day they'd ask for the person in question, and as soon as I said, "He doenn't live here", they'd hang up really fast.

We ended up getting rid of our home phone. We got rid of it because we'd decided that it made sense to go with cell phones only, but getting rid of those calls was a bonus!

It means your stressing out over someone elses lack of financial responsibility. To be truthful unless they are asking you directly for money or it concerns you directly don't sweat it its their problem.

Twice in the past 4 months we have received strange voice messages from collection agencies looking for them. They have never lived here. They live two states and 500 miles away. What the heck?? I know everything on the internet is up for hacking. Are these agencies just googling relatives? They don't have any recourse with US do they??

Basically, yes. From what I understand, they use last name and past address records to make connections. I regularly get mail and, back when we had a landline, calls from collection agencies looking for my father.

I would ask them if they are recording the conversation, and as soon as they said yes I would tell them to stop calling me, it is harassment and illegal. And that if I got another call from them I would be contacting my lawyer. That will stop them!
