What does the tooth fairy bring a 34 yr old?!

Guess what? I lost a tooth the other day. Wednesday morning to be exact. I had a tooth that was a baby tooth still. There was no permanent tooth to push it out, but about a year ago the gum around it started to recede and without deep roots to keep it in it eventually fell out.

I went to the dentist today to have it looked at, which, BTW, is huge for me because I hate, hate , hate the dentist. I have to decide whether to get a partial (like dentures), a crown with a bridge, or an implant. The implant is the best but most expensive option. And it requires more healing time. It could take up to a year for the whole process to be completed.

I told DH that if I was going to pay that much for an implant and go though all that hassle, it wasn't going to be for my mouth!!!! ;)

Anyways I saved the tooth and told the dentist I'd bring it in next time I came in. She suggested (in front of my DH) that I put it under my pillow for the tooth fairy. So I asked her what the tooth fairy could possibly bring a 34 yr old? Her receptionist overheard and piped up with the answer "Earrings!"

Hmmmm...... that'd work! :rotfl:

The real kicker to all this? My DD5 lost her first tooth the SAME DAY! Who thought I'd still be losing teeth at this age. :goodvibes

The tooth fairy is a distant relative to the tag fairy. We can never know what they will bring us.

I had a wisdom tooth pulled today. I never even thought to put it under my pillow. I sure will now and I'll make sure DH knows about it. Thanks for the idea!

I think a trip to Disney World would be appropriate.

Hee hee! That's cute :) If I got rewards like that, I wouldn't be afraid of the dentist anymore!
